>>Indy always seems long and exciting, but maybe that's because Indy is bumpy and fun all the way around, where Journey is rather slow til the end (somehow, that makes it feel shorter to me).<<

I guess what I'm trying to say is that, even though they might "clock in" the same, Indy is 3 minutes of "pay off", where Journey is some slow, interesting stuff, followed by 10-20 seconds of "pay off"...so, in a way, Indy seems longer.

That makes sense, though I've never felt that way.

As for Raging Spirits, I was indeed talking about the entrance with the waterfall staircase and fire. I wouldn't call it E-ticket, but somewhere between that and a D-ticket. D-plus or E-minus if you will. I think it's an improvement over the Indiana Jones coaster at Disneyland Paris.

And the only part that resembles a wild mouse coaster is the shape of it. The track and vehicles are completely different.

<<Interesting. Journey to the Center of the Earth doesn't feel any shorter to me than Indiana Jones Adventure. If I remember correctly, they are both around 3 minutes long.>>

Yeah, they might be the same length, but Mr. X just explained my feelings exactly. Indy starts out action packed and moving right out of the gate where as JTTCOTE starts up okay, but the buildup takes too long considering when you really start to get into it, the ride is over already :(. Indy just feels more complete and why its slightly better in my 'favorite' dept. But Journey is a fantastic ride and certainly well detailed with that climax at the end. But, it needs to be about a minute longer for me or a little more action to my favorite :).

Both are very close in my opinion. For a while, Indiana Jones Adventure was my favorite attraction. Then it was Journey to the Center of the Earth. It has continued in this pattern for a while now. :P

While I do like the fast-paced nature of the Indiana Jones Adventures, I also like the slower pace of Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I also find that Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are packed with more detail in their sets and show scenes.

Overall, I find Journey to the Center of the Earth more thrilling. That final drop really gives you a lot of airtime surprisingly. More so than Splash Mountain's final drop, probably due to the acceleration prior to it. I read that the vehicles reach a maximum speed of 47 miles per hour during the launch.

>>Wow...TDLFAN was right.<<

I am always right. Whether you don't want to hear or admit it, it's a different story.

So you were right in saying that MOST adults do not enjoy visiting Walt Disney World?

I'd have to see a poll or something first. :p

I meant.. many "parents", not "adults". Way two different things!

Many parents go there to take their kids to it. Most adults go there to enjoy the place sans brats, which is the way to enjoy WDW.

There is no "poll" on this.. it's just TDLFAN's assessment.

You are correct, sir! I misquoted you!

Sincere apologies. (and it wasn't even "you meant" whatever, you actually said it).

TDLFAN wrote...

**Most parents love WDW because their kids love it. Not really because they do or even enjoy visiting the place.**

So I'm very, very sorry that I misquoted you!

I still am not sure I agree (I think lots of parents enjoy visiting the place, with kids or not), but I'm sorry that I misquoted you.

I hope you'll accept my apology, I should not have misquoted you that way!
