>>That'd be great, to get fined for making a joke (not ON an airplane, or even AT an airport...but far away on a message board)...I'd have a field day sicking my lawyer on them.<<

Of course, I was making fun of your post as well... however, people do get arrested for making jokes about security breaches and safety infractions at airports all the time. But when the joke is something as serious as you implied, it gives others who are not as knowledgeable as you ideas to do as they please. Suggestions about smoking on planes and tampering with equipment that prevents such incidents is a very serious topic for someone to make on any discussion board, me thinks. Anything that I feel threatening to my safety on a flight and the safe operation of an aircraft, I think it's inadecuate to post on. Furthermore, I feel it's (as you would put it) "not cool" to do so. I have never made fun of your career on this forum and I think I would prefer you don't make fun of mine as well. You want to make fun of me as a person or about my opinions of Disney? well that's Ok with me, but not about my job. Please.

I know they do (AT airports, I can understand...fomenting a panic is very possible)...

Certainly sorry that you feel I was making fun of your job, TDLFAN! I thought I was making fun of my own smoking habit!

You're welcome to make fun of my job if you want...you can start with the cheesy chef hat and work from there. ;)

I've never felt that there has to be a special reason to ever visit a Disney resort. ANY day I can go to a Disney theme park is a good day.

So, I don't really care about temporary shows or parades for any particular anniversary.

What I do like to see is how something like the 50th anniversary got the management at the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney Company off their collective asses and beautify the park so it's in the best shape in over 20 years. I was there on the 50th anniversay day (July 17th) and it was great. Now THAT'S an anniversary worth making a big deal over.

Why get excited every five years? I'd much rather see Disney or OLC use the money for permanent attractions rather than temp shows and parades.

Besides, the Tokyo Disney Resort already has a lot of seasonal attractions thoughout the year--my favorite is Halloween and I try to go every year no matter what anniversary it is.

>>Why get excited every five years?<<

Gee, I remember when we all used to get excited at WDW every 5 years.. but now? they don't even care to celebrate the resort that much for it's milestones..

but as you said... TDR offer seasonal entertainment that makes it a better placxe to visit..OFTEN. And TDS will again acknowledge the park's 6th birthday with new merchandise. Heck! Even HKDL does WDW one better just for offering a very beautiful 2nd anniversary merchandise line and a FUNTASTIC summer parade with Mickey's Waterworks. What do we get at WDW for summer and anniversary dates?
