There is a panoramic view of the subway tracks, and the lovely freeway!
Much better than the view from that nearby hotel UNDER the tracks anyway. lol. |

I'm not familiar with the pricing as of yet. First guests will be in next April but the official first night guests aren't there until July so the first availability won't be on sale until mid-December. I'd expect the prices to be 10% higher than the MiraCosta for the same category. It definitely will be priced as more expensive as it makes it easier to market (plus it is a more opulent and deluxe hotel). |

| TDR_Fan Wed 8/29/2007 2:50p | And just out of curiosity, do you think the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel will surpass the Disneyland Hotels in Paris and Hong Kong? From the concept art, it looks much grander and prettier. Is the lobby going to be adorned with marble flooring like the one in Hong Kong, or carpeting like the one in Paris? |

Anyways, I was going to ask if the majority of rooms will have balconies. From the concept art, this seems to be the case. If you are correct about the pricing, this will make the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel the most expensive Disney hotel yet to stay at.
And another thing, I'm surprised the hotel is only costing around $400 million. From what I've read, the MiraCosta cost around $1 billion. |

| The Goddess Mara Wed 8/29/2007 2:56p | When I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in Hong Kong, it was just over a year old and there are already cracks visible in the molding, and mold in various places. Not what I expected. I know the Japanese will do better. |

| The Goddess Mara Wed 8/29/2007 3:04p | Part of the cost of the Miracosta, if it did indeed cost one billion dollars, is because it's the entrance to the theme park and it has tons of shops underneath it. Plus a Resort Liner station (perhaps). Otherwise I can't see how it could have reached one billion bucks. |

| TDR_Fan Wed 8/29/2007 3:25p | I don't know what made it so expensive. I did read that they imported a bunch of rare and very expensive items from places like China and Venice. Many decorative items were handmade and shipped especially for the MiraCosta. The Imagineers really did put a lot of effort and artistic talent into creating the MiraCosta, blending it perfectly with the Mediterranean Harbor. I would say that the exterior facade is the most beautiful among the Disney hotels. |
