How could it have theming if it is unthemed?" don't always believe what you read :) The lattice was placed to make the coaster look more like a wooden coaster. If they wanted to have gone the cheap route like many say, they could have just left the steal structure and nothing else.

The area looks more like something out of George Lucas's American Graffiti than it does Cars. The one CARS related piece are the two pieces of art showing what the CARS e-ticket would look like.
