grizzley peake, condor flats and other attraction pads for more attractions within those lands.

Don't forget there will still be room for expansion in the timon lot and other areas surrounding the park

don't forget the golden state area.

You have a warf with an empty large buildng as well as a row of houses used only for restrooms.

YESS!! The entrance made the cut for the first five years! Excellent!

Condor Flats can wait. I like the patriotic, adventurous vibe it has already. And Soarin' is popular. I'm glad redesigning that area has been delegated to the second five year plan.

So bean. Is there any chance, and by any chance, I mean any chance at all that there will be an origional California themed ride for the makeover?

bean I have a question for you..is the Little mermaid ride going to be similar to the attraction that Tony Baxter talked about on the Little Mermaid DVD or is it going to be some new "on the cheap" version like the Nemo ride at epcot where you ride a clam omnimover and just look at video projections?

I was hoping for something like a modern fantasyland type ride with full 3 dimensional props and sets and audio animtronics (or at least simple moving figures) and practicle special effects.

Skellington88, you mean a dark ride like the plywood sets and jiggling manequins that make up most of the Fantasyland dark rides? Mr. Toad, Alice, Snow White, Pooh, or even Peter Pan (but from above)? Those kind of cheap, C Ticket dark rides?

Or do you mean the more elaborate D Ticket dark rides that have a gimmick or more novel execution on a bigger scale, like Roger Rabbitt and Monsters Inc.?

Either way, a dark ride is a dark ride. It's either a cheap plywood thing from Walt Disney's era, or a more elaborate plywood thing from the Eisner/Iger era.

I can only imagine the howls of horror and disgust from Internet message boards if a cornball plywood paradise like Alice In Wonderland opened in 2007. How dare Iger and Lasseter cheapen Disneyland with some cheap plywood menace like Alice! ;-)

I wouldn't call either of those rides elaborate. I would more along the lines of Sindbad's Storybook Voyages. That would be an elaborate darkride that this could be based on (in terms of props and style of animatronics).
