<<< Wow. I would say it's very rude, if you've actually made plans to meet someone, to wait no more than 5 minutes!

VERY rude. >>>

One person's watch is 2 minutes fast, and the other 3 minutes slow, and you're off by 5 minutes even if both parties think they're exactly on time. Jeesh.

Very true, SD.

Common courtesy would certainly dictate waiting AT LEAST 15-20 minutes if a meeting had been arranged, and I do believe TDLFAN does owe Kayoss an apology.

Now, if one were consistantly late in showing up *coughworlddisneycough*, that's a whole other realm of discourtesy, but Kayoss being SEVEN minutes late due to a delayed train does not fall into THAT catagory whatsoever.

LOL dude, yes, I been late, around 30-40 minutes late. Guilty! Of course, it took me 90 MINUTES assuming I got quick transfers and Tokyo Station wasn't too crowded to get to the parks from where I lived. It took you 12 whole minutes ;). Yes, the few times I stopped off at a McDonalds between my journeys would usually set me back. Also, it was always ME meeting you on your side of the city. I don't ever remember being late the one or two times you met me in Shibuya or Shinjuku where I lived ;).

Getting back ON TOPIC, yeah like I said waaaaay back, this stuff happens, lines get crossed, times are off, etc. If one of you had cell phones (guessing neither didn't), then it wouldn't be a big deal. Without the phones, its easy to think 'he's not coming' or 'he decided not to show' on either end. That's life, happens all the time.

Common courtesy dictates showing up on time like I did. That is all I have to say about this.

Anyone who has visited Japan a number of times knows how rare (basically.. unheard of) it is for trains to be late. I came during a Typhoon, and learned that even in Tokyo, they can't run trains when there's inches of water on the tracks.
I had a really fun time at the Tokyo Disney Resort (as always) and know I made the right decision to take two weeks away from my home and give my relationship some distance.
I stand by my original post... there isn't anything in there that's untrue... and I don't feel like I was wrong to feel kinda shafted in the ‘being ditched' department. It's pretty clear by TDLFAN's reactions that he was way too busy to wait around even a few minutes in an extraordinary weather circumstance. Which is fine.... I mean... as I said, you can't be too depressed at a place like Tokyo DisneySea. I got over it. I am over it. Good god, life is too short to care or argue about idiotic stuff like this.
But I must mention something which bugs me... and I'm only saying this as a friendly reality check: I don't know TDLFAN, and honestly, I'm not sure if I'd want to know someone who couldn't even swallow his pride enough to say "gosh man, sorry we missed meeting... maybe another time" instead of "common courtesy dictates showing up on time". And that's regardless of the (extraordinary) circumstances or (ridiculously close) timeframes missed. It's just something people do to make other people feel little happier, make you (perhaps) seem a little bit less self-involved, and ends feuds rather then start them.
I hold no ill-will towards you TDLFAN, I don't even know you. But I used to have your attitude, and let me just say a whole world opened up when I grew out of it. This is meant not as a criticism, but as a friendly suggestion.

Cut the crap. You need to be a bit more puntual, period. The world does not revolve at your tardy pace. And save me the cheap psychology. I am old enough to be your father and do not need to change my ways just because you were late.

Have a nice fullfilling life!! (like mine!)
