Sorry to hear that the meds have not been working to your satisfaction. I think you need some of Tinks pixie dust too. I can't imagine not being able to drive. Things obviously have not worked out in your favor. I hope by rejoining our chic club we can make your days a little brighter while you get through this difficult time. |

I just found out that my vacation might have to be moved hopefully not cancelled. My DH has to go to a stupid SAR training school for his job the week of our trip. I refuse to go the second week of Dec. So maybe the week after Thanksgiving. It would be mon-fri. What should I do? I really need those drinks now. I bet MM is enjoying herself on that plane as she is drinking all of those $1 beers. |

Not true, not true, Villains, why just today we mentioned the $1 beers they serve on Express Jet!
I hope MM calmed down some and is enjoying the flight. We'll have to razz her about the deed & the wedding when she gets back. I'm sure she won't think about either of them again until her next mother daughter trip! lol (Villains and I could help her out and notarize the new deed, if she really wants to go through with it.) I get like that, too before I travel, I think of all the things that I should have taken care of, important things, and I swear I will take care of them when I return. I never do b/c they would take too much time away from reading LP.
I'm so sorry that you have had such a bad time with your health, Mickeynewe. We had all hoped you were too busy with your DD, w*rk, activities and making up for lost time now that you had your DLicense back. (I was so sure you'd have it back by now.) What a terrible turn of events. Now you have to start with new meds. How long do you have to be on these meds and go w/o a seizure before you can re-apply for your dl? (too long, I know. You must be going crazy.)
My son that have seizures is on two types of meds. He doesn't speak, so he could never tell me if he felt different on them. I guess he was pretty lucky not to have had any allergic reactions or to have gotten sick like you did. We were limited in what he could take, too. One b/c he couldn't swallow pills and had to get chewables. Another thing was it's virtually impossible to get a blood test from him. Most of the meds require you to get your blood checked every month or so, I think. He takes two meds for them now. One is called Lamictal and the other is called Kepra. I guess there are a ton of them out there. He's doing well, knock on wood, and hasn't had a seizure since March.
I'm so glad you're back and hopefully can get a few laughs, especially the next few days when we roast MM! ;)
