Tue 10/16/2007 7:30p | Hi girls...Sorry so late today> Been a doozy...Been having tooth pain for a while (okay about 5 months) that comes and goes - well we know how much I like doctors - well like dentists even less! It had been quite a while since my last check up (okay 4 years) when I went in last April. The dentist removed some old fillings and put in new. Well the bonding agent they used was recalled and for some patients it didn't adhere properly and had to be replaced - well I would have known that if I wasn't such a chicken and called earlier. So over the weekend the pain became fairly consistant and I went in today and had one redone - I am suppose to go back next week and have a couple more redone(luckily I don't have to pay again). Also DS18 got his braces off today - he didn't do all he was suppose to - so they took them off without him being finished because they had been on a year longer than anticipated already so they didn't think he would ever just wear the rubberbands and be done with it - lucky for us DS11 got his 6months ago and has seen what happened with his brother and is doing everything the ortho says, even wearing the neckgear!
Well HD has not been in school for over a week now and DD9 said today another child said she went on another vacation with her dad this time!! The school is going to get mad at them with all the money they are loosing already (schools around here post how much money they loose each month due to absences)!!
We will see if HER actually shows up with the money and hopefully the ring or if she calls DH with some rediculous excuse for not paying this time!!
MM are you recovered from you trip? It was so nice for your DH to suprise you like that - my hubby did that after a trip I took for my DD 6th bday - I took my neices (7,8) with me and when I got home they had all staged a mini - clean sweep in our house and had moved the kids rooms around (gave the older boys each their own rooms and put the younger 2 in the big room together) It was really nice!! I am a bit of a collecter and never through anything out - I still have clothes in boxes from the younger kids to put on ebay, but I am such a procrastinater!!
Well I should get DD ready to go to bed...

I hear ya about dentists. I refuse to go. Wanna know how bad I am? I have had a tooth that once a year, every year for the past 8 years has absessed up. I STILL won't go to the dentist! There have been a few times that I remember putting my head between my knees and screaming because the pain was so bad. How stupid is that? Dangerous, too...an absess can kill ya. Still...I won't go get it yanked out. If I feel the familiar twinge these days, I load up on orange juice and regular plain old aspirin and that seems to keep it from flaring up...don't know why, but it works.
I'm glad you have better sense than I and got your tooth fixed....BEFORE your trip.
That must have set you back on getting ready, and I'll bet you'll be busy today. If I forget to tell you later, have a MOST wonderful time. There is no doubt in my mind that it will be a lot better than your last trip.
Drive CAREFUL...I heard something this morning about a sandstorm on the freeway that killed 3 people. What the heck is goin' on down there? Take it slow and easy.
HD is on another vacation? Well...you KNOW you'll get THAT as an excuse for not being paid! We're all still hoping for the best for you, but we all kinda think that you're gonna get "blown off" again.
I shouldn't speak for tink, mater, and mickey....but if they were to BOTHER to be here this am, they'd say the same I am sure. They SHOULD be here since you'll be leaving us soon. Maybe they've got their noses in a snit and are jealous over your vacation to DL. I, on the other hand, am a much bigger person than they, and am very excited for you. :)

Wed 10/17/2007 9:51a | Oh NO - now the tooth on the top really hurts - like I can't even eat - it feels like it is splitting in half - hubby says I probably notice how much this one hurts now that the one that was causing all my ear pain is better...And my dentist doesn't work on Wednesdays!!!! I am going to see how long I can deal with it - I have to go to the mall, really I do have to go. I ordered new sunglasses from lenscrafters and they are ready so I have to pick them up today for the trip - my last pair broke during soccer. I cannot go to DL without my sunglasses...yes they are prescription.
I have already been back to the ortho today as DS18 was messing with DS11 while unloading the weekly costco supplies and when he swung the 36 pack of TP he caught DS11 in the mouth - he was wearing his neckgear(good boy) and it tore off the bracket in the back that the neckgear fits into - so we had to go get a new band today (better it hit that then if he wasn't wearing it because the braces would have tore up his lips) Brotherly love and all you know!!
Well I should get to the mall it's early day and I have to pick up my gang at 1:30 today!!

Like the rest of you I hate the dentist. It has been 2 years for me and we have insurance. There is no excuse why I don't go. Last visit I had 2 cavaties filled and that was enough for me. I can't believe HD is on another vacation. Sounds like parents are in competition with each other. How sad. I will not get my hopes up or hold my breath on HER paying but am hoping she does what is right and responsible for once.
MM sorry I did not check in soon enough for you. :) DH has work tonight and the rest of the week after one day off. So I have been busy organizing my scrapbook supplies. Next it will be cleaning house since DD is free of cheer practice and girl scouts tonight. Yipee 38 days and 15 hours til DL. Can you believe DH tried to reduce the trip down to 3 days instead of 4.(the nerve)

Okay, so now I sound like a 1-800-Dentist commercial. Seriously, though, I used to HATE going to the dentist-- I assure you that I am the biggest chicken out there when it comes to a dentist, UNTIL my cousin recommended hers. They are awesome! My daughter actually LIKES going to the dentist. Totally painless, even for cavaties.

Sorry to be checking in so late, but unlike MM, some of us actually w**k when we go to our j*bs. But, hey-- must be my moral ethics. :P
I really need to clean house this afternoon, but instead my daughter and I will be rehearsing all afternoon. She has a big performance Friday night so we will be busy, busy. Housework can wait until the weekend.
Villians, have a wonderful trip. Pack some pain killers just in case your tooth bothers you-- but have fun, after all, you will be in Disneyland! The happiest place on earth! |

mickey...for your information, I DO w*&k at w*&k! I am very good at multi-tasking, and I have been doing this job so long that I can pretty much do a full day's worth of crud in about 5 hours...leaving me 3 hours to put up with the likes of you.
mater...4 days down to 3? Has your DH always been derranged, or is this a recent afflicition? Thank God he has you to look after him.
Well, I finished up my christmas shopping today...neener, neener to the rest of you. I actually got a few things to put away for next year as well. Double neener neener. It will be wrapped up and under my bed before GhostHunters is over. Triple neener neener.
