| mickeynewe Wed 10/17/2007 3:04p | Wahoo-- another person who likes to shop early! I did some more shopping today as well. We can neener, neener together! Mine is usually done by September, but this has not been a typical year for me. :P
Does anyone know where I can buy a *decent* Alice in Wonderland costume? I need one desperately--- for Friday. I figure it I order it today I can pay for overnight shipping.

| mater4 Wed 10/17/2007 4:00p | I have an idea. Since Mickey and MM christmas shop early the rest of us who don't can make them our personal shoppers. I know it is not practical since we don't live close by but the thought was nice while it lasted. Some of us have been busy planning DL trips.(Neener Neener) Ok, that was not nice but you started it. |

| Tinkerbell819 Wed 10/17/2007 4:09p | Now, Mickeynewe, you are just asking for trouble, bragging about that Christmas shopping along with your buddy MM, so, SURE, I know where you can buy a LOVELY Alice costume: http://tinyurl.com/34566p
lol
You and DD will get LOTS of call backs for future performances after you wear that costume! You're welcome, for doubling or tripling your business. ;)
Oh my gosh, I hope we hear back from Villains today, I sure hope she got her tooth fixed. I don't want her to not be able to eat all of the Halloween goodies available this weekend. I've always been depressed when I have have toothaches in DL and can't get an ice cream sundae b/c it hurts too much to eat it. Like you, I have put off going to the DDS way longer than I should have. DH just had to have a tooth pulled for the same reason. When we let these things go, they only get worse. But, there are only so many hours in a day and who wants to spend them at the Dentist? Not me. Villains, my DS was told he needed his braces on for 18 mo. and he wore them for 4 years. When he finally got them off, I had no idea he'd have to wear a retainer. They said we had to come in every mo. for a retainer check up. I think I yelled, "WHAT? YOU MEAN WE STILL HAVE TO COME HERE EVERY MONTH?" He's had them off for 3 years and we have been once a year for the retainer check up. As a matter of fact, I asked him the other day if our year was up yet. (I wonder if they took us off their books.)
Mater and Villains, my only procrastinating buddies on this thread, what kind of person puts away gifts for the FOLLOWING Christmas? I know, the same person that is planning a trip for 2009! Now, tell me, MM, what could possibly STILL be in style NEXT Christmas????

| mickeynewe Wed 10/17/2007 4:51p | Hey, I already told you--- I'm not wearing that "lovely" costume! Even if it would triple my daughter's callbacks! Hey, the kid makes a fortune. I think her performance is just fine without embarassing myself by trying to fool anyone I'm 20!
I did find a costume that was "decent". To have it expressed was a joke -- $63.! I was willing to pay a premium price, but that was more than the costume. Let's be real---
Hey don't pick on MM for shopping for the following Christmas! SOME people are just very organized and skilled at shopping. *starts to whistle and looks around innocently as I shove the closet door closed*
Have a lovely evening my friends! |

| mickeynewe Thu 10/18/2007 12:40p | WHERE is everybody? I'm starting to feel rather lonely. *sniffle*
Well, I am in a very happy mood! Contrary to that above sniffle--- had to make you guys feel good. hehehe
Anyways, I've been doing MORE Christmas planning and we were stuck on our daughter. She needs a PA System, but they are expensive. The recommended one was like $600 (plus shipping) but I didn't want to spend that much because then the child would get nothing else, well okay, she WOULD, but my budget would be all shot to hecky-doo.
So through my diligence--- and my utter persistence, I found the same exact one for $389 INCLUDING shipping. Yes, I love a good bargain! So yay for me! My daughter is going to be sooooo thrilled!
Okay, that's my happy news-- how is everyone else's day going? |

| gottaluvdavillains Thu 10/18/2007 12:53p | Okay I am at the library for a quick check in - AT&T offered to upgrade our DSL and we okayed it so now of course we have NO DSL.
3 trip to the dentist today and I am still numb so I think I feel better... I really like this dentist and he came in yesterday on his day off to try and help with some of the pain and scheduled me in for today.
Gotta go pack up my truck and wait for SIL to show up around 3:30 and then we are off - I can't wait.
Sorry Tink, I do have some of my shopping done already - I have 4 kids and 6 nieces and nephews to shop for so I am constantly looking for deals and grabbing them when I can!!! I think by next year I will be getting some gift cards as my SIL's kids are 10,11,12 and she has them shopping for quicksilver and ambercrobie so those don't fit in my budget!!
Mater how's the room planning going???
Well since I don't w**k, I will go home and straighten up a little before I go to DL again!! neneer neneer...Would be much easier if those darn kid's didn't have to go to school - it messes with my disney schedule!! :) |

| Tinkerbell819 Thu 10/18/2007 1:11p | I'm glad Villains got to check in before leaving us again, I hope she gets her DSL by Fri. so her DH can write and let us know if he got the $$$ from HER! Have fun, Villains! (Even though you can't read this now!;) I was a Target today looking for 3 things that they didn't have and ended up buying 2 Christmas gifts. I think it was the pressure coming from the group. My problem is this, today I picked up 2 toys for my little nephew. (There were no people in the toy section, which leads me to believe not everyone is an early shopper, which made me feel good.) Now, every time I go out shopping between now and Christmas, I will probably see something else that I just HAVE to buy my little nephew. (But, look at it, it's soooo cute!!!) So, by the time Christmas comes the little guy will have a pile of presents a mile high b/c I started so early. If I started late, I would only have 2 or 3 gifts for him. How do you control yourself and not buy more when you finish early?
