| Tinkerbell819 Tue 10/23/2007 7:12a | It's nice to meet the newbies! How exciting for us to have some new blood around here! (I hope you are both procrastinators like Mater and I, we are currently outnumbered.) Travelandq, how long of a trip is it for you coming from Australia? I am always so tired traveling from PA to DL. Then, I'll be at Hojos in the hot tub and hear everyone around me talking and I find out they have all come from Australia or New Zealand. Then, I feel like a schmuck for complaining. lol Where will you be staying in Jan.?
I saw DD getting sawed in 1/2 last night, Mickey! Awesome! Her legs were hanging off to the side & up in the air and she was SMILING! ;)
I'm off for one of my big paying j&^bs. I think I'm getting about $35 for this one. Maybe it will be enough to buy Villains, Mater & I a 'rita. lol

| TXDISNEYNERD Tue 10/23/2007 10:12a | I hope you guys will take one more stalker / eavesdropper.
I am anxiously awaiting a post from Villians to see if she got any money from HER. I hope so, but from what I read, it doesn't seem likely.
MM - It must be cool to be confused as the Mom when you are the Grandma. I am almost shh - 40 and I just had a baby last year (suprise). As I have a DD17, they think she is the Mom and I am the Grandma. I also have a DS13.
Mickey - That is so cool about your DD. I can tell you are very proud of her as you should be.
I am usually a very early Christmas shopper, but it has been hard this year with the DD1. I only have a couple of things so I am way behind. Hopefully, I will still finish up by November so I can just enjoy the holidays and not be too stressed.

| MOLLYSMOM Tue 10/23/2007 10:44a | tink...it's not nice to talk about rita's when you know I can't join ya. However, if you're buyin', you'll need that $35...if I remember correctly, a Grande was like $8.
How cool is this, girls...we now have INTERNATIONAL friends. We have arrived. Don't even think about trying to turn our new buddies over to the "dark side" of christmas shopping, tink. Don't listen to her girls...she's evil. They're still impressionable, tink, behave yourself.
First to RT...like tink says...tell us a little bit about yourself. We like to get to know our new friends, plus, the more ya tell us, the more ammunition we've got to kid you about, harrass you about, and use against you if needed.
Now to our new friend travellerandquilter. First off, we can't possibly write your WHOLE screen name out every time we want to address you...I doubt that all of us can spell it right the first time. So, I will use "TQ"...it goes well with the rest of our shortened names. NEVER apologize for being an "interloper" (great word, by the way). We may get carried away, but we enjoy meeting new friends and picking up strays along the way. :) How do ya think we got tink?
It started out with mickey and myself and a box in the parking lot with a sharpie. Then, we got tink, then villains, then mater, now RT if mickey didn't scare her off, and now hopefilly yourself.
I had a friend from high school that went to Australia after graduation for a vacation...he has been there ever since. He fell in love with the place and has been there for 30 years.
I'm with tink...how long is the flight to DL? I crab about my 5 hour one...yours has got to be brutal! I'm not even going to think about the cost.
Glad you decided to join us, TQ. Welcome to our disfunctional group. |

| MOLLYSMOM Tue 10/23/2007 10:54a | txdisneynerd...heck, ya...join in the fun! You will now be TX if it's ok? Does that mean you are from Texas?
You're right, too...where the heck is villains? It's like she thinks she has a life outsde of us, or something.
Ya...sometimes it's cool being mistaken for the grandkids' mom...other times it can be embarrassing. While I may look young, I look WAY too old to have 3 kids THAT young. I pretty much get odd looks no matter what, but that's a whole different story. (Beat ya to it, girls...no reason to make snide comments about weird looks)
I think it's kinda cool that you have older kids, and a new baby. When DH and I got together, I had just turned 40, and wanted nothing more than to have a child with him. He agreed to see about reversing his "nip/tuck", and we were pretty excited about the prospect. My DD was only 4, so it would have been great. About a week after we had made our decision, his oldest daughter surprised us with the fact that she was pregnant. Well, it was way too twisted of an option at that point, so we satisfied ourselves with the grandkids.
tink...we have another christmas shopper "on the fence". I think mickey and I can easily shove her off over onto "our side". |

| gottaluvdavillains Tue 10/23/2007 11:34a | HI girls - Wow I leave for a few days and you guys run out and find newbies...are you trying to replace me? :)
Okay where to start - lets start with rt - you guys let her use that naughty word on our thread!! RT w**k is a four letter word so we don't use it here....hahahaha Did some Christmas shopping in DL over the weekend - I am about a third done!! Nothing wrapped though!
Next RT, TQ and TX welcome - now that you have joined you will have to take the sacred oath - I will always love Disneyland. I will always remember to have a sence of humor while conversing with MM, Tink, Mickey, Villains, and Mater... Smile each day knowing there is someone out in cyberspace willing to hear the good the bad and the ugly - hopefully it's mostly good! Welcome
Any more lurkers out there speak up!!
Okay DH had a phone message on Friday from HER - big suprise she would not be bringing anything by until Sat...Guess what nothing saturday either!! So I take DD to school on Monday have to go in because she is late. While I am there HER came by my house and left a box on my porch, which I see as I drive past my front door (we live in a corner house and our driveway is on the backside in a court). Go get box and look inside - Are you sure your ready for this ..........................................................................................................................................................
It's everything I have given to HER and HD for Christmas or Birthdays!! There is also an envelope with a $300 MO in it and a note that she will have the rest in two weeks!! DS18 is just craking up - this woman is 41 years old and acting like I am her teenage lover who just broke up with her!!
So I write Fine on the note and pack up the stuff that was gifts to HD from my DD and write on the note that if she wants to bring the girls into it she can have HD do whatever she wants her to do, but my DD is staying out of what should be between HER and me alone. And if she doesn't want HD to have the items then she can donate them somewhere - but I would not be a party to it - I did however donate her items that she no longer wanted - I dropped it all off in front of their house (HER car was not there but HD dad was there to retrieve it).
Oh yeah there was a ring in the box in a Kay Jewelers box - but it had not been sized and was not what I picked out or something I would have even looked at - nor what my DH thought he picked either (he is a man and it was 11 months ago) so I also mentioned I was taking the ring to Kays to be resized (none of us think it's from Kays and if it's not I will know then) We are guessing it's from Target or Walmart and she probably sold the one I was suppose to get for drugs...So sad.
I gotta do some stuff around her or hubby won't let me go away again(hahaha like I would give him a choice) I will fill you in on my trip later today or in the morning - I will say this quickly DL was wonderful the trip home was horrible!!

| mater4 Tue 10/23/2007 11:53a | First I want to welcome all the newcomers. Villians I am glad you have some of the money owed. Wow! SHE is about as imature as it gets. Good luck with the rest of the money. Ok Tink time to push over the on the fence procrastinators to our side. I will be back later as I am off to pay for my DL trip at AAA. |

| TXDISNEYNERD Tue 10/23/2007 12:13p | Thanks for the warm welcome. I have taken the sacred oath as directed.
Yes MM, I'm in Texas. I was originally born in San Deigo CA (Navy brat) and lived there and in San Jose for the first 13 years of my life so I'm a California Texan.
Villians - I am so glad you got back some of the money owed by HER. I can't believe how childish SHE is acting. Good for you too at not involving your DD.
I guess I better get back to w**k. |

| Tinkerbell819 Tue 10/23/2007 12:34p | Villains! That is the craziest story I've ever heard! Leaving everything you ever gave HER in a box on your porch? The ring part is really nuts, too. (I'm glad you at least got SOME of the money.) I want to write more, but I have a big mess to clean up from the cat, yuck. Darn, I hate when time is running low and there is so much to do that I can't keep up with my cyber pals. Welcome, TX! I like the story of your surprise baby, too! (Now see, MM, we will not be surprised 6 months from now that TX has a baby b/c she told us right away!)

| MOLLYSMOM Tue 10/23/2007 1:34p | villains...we could never replace you, nor would we want to. Apparently, word has gotten out about our crazy, happy group and we got new buddies comming out of the woodwork...isn't it cool?
Ok, about the friend deal...AAAAHHHHHH!! I'm loving this installment more than you know. This was definately worth waiting for, right girls? While the ending of a friendship is unfortunate and sad, this is providing quite a bit of entertainment for us all. You got all of us for friends, villains. It doesn't matter that we live all across the country, and it doesn't matter that we don't even know each other's real names...we're friends just the same.
Not your ring?!?!??!?!?!! Oh my lord...I am speechless, and that doesn't happen often.I don't "get" this woman. You mentioning the word "drug" might explain a thing or two. Still, it boggles the mind. I feel bad that the girls have been brought into this...not any fault of yours. I think that's the difficult part. As adults, we can deal with most things, make the best of it, joke about it, or flat out forget it. It's tougher for kids to handle this kind of stuff. Especially when it involves their parents...not themselves. What was she thinking?
Well, we are glad you're home and that you had a great trip. You can share the horror of your trip home later...after you wrap up the presents you got for all of us. Hope you brought extra for RT, TX, and TQ.
I thought I was right about you being from Texas. You will find that I am the smart one of the bunch. :) Oh my gosh...do you still have loved ones in the San Diego area? I have been glued to the tv, radio, internet, whatever. It is so hard to fathom what is happening right now. DD and I were just there 2 weeks ago.
tink...shut up...I DID tell you guys. (I gotta find that thread) Why would villains know and not you? Do ya think I called her on the phone and said, "villains, ya wanna mess with the other girls?" Oh...that could be fun now that I mention it.
I am finding great delight in the fact that your cat has left you a mess to clean up. My visual has you up to your elbows in hacked up fur-ball slime...perhaps some unrecognizable mouse or bird parts...maybe some poo, perhaps? :) |

| travellerandquilter Tue 10/23/2007 2:33p | Back again after sleeping the opposite to you guys. Yes it is a killer trip to the usa, 'bout 14 hours. When we were there last year we landed and made our way to Anaheim threw bags in room and got changed and went straight over to DL. AFter a couple of hours came back and had a nap and then back to DL until midnight and was not too bad after that but never made the EE mornings as could not get out of bed early enough. Many thanks for the kind welcome. Pledge said with a HUGE smile. Glad villians has been given some of her money. Villians posts are more like a tv show that someone could not even make up. Amazing. Have to go to that 4 letter word place today. You know what I mean? |
