| rtjl72 Tue 10/23/2007 9:15p | oops, i had to eat dinner before i could go to bed. i hate eating late. villians should be careful. there are crazy people out there. i think she went to dl with one. the ring thing is a hoot! what a goof that hm must be. and pathetic! her poor daughter. those are the kind of girls i see at a local placement facility for teen moms. all are under 18 and have babies or are expecting. all those young girls want to do is go home. i feel so sad for them. they haven't had a chance to even grow up or have any good role models. heck a couple of them have had their mothers boyfriends end up being the father of their babies. but they only want to go home. no matter how dysfunctional it was and that the courts have removed them from the home, it's where they want to go. dorothy was right there is no place like home. unless it's dl! so anyway villians-be careful- that chick knows to much about you and your family and if she is involved with drugs she could get unpredictable. i don't mean to scare you, but would just want you to be cautious. |

| travellerandquilter Wed 10/24/2007 4:32a | Just poking my nose back in. The time difference is it is 4.25 am wed in LA and it is 9.25 pm wed in aust. Our day light saving comes in this weekend to it will be then 10.25pm at your 4.25 am. Also we are in spring just on our way into summer. I live about 1 hour from the snow fields in New South Wales. Yes we really do have snow here. My DH skied 26 days this season. Thanks villians for the next instalment in your on going saga. It is hard to believe that people like that actually exist and can be sooooo insensitive and down right stupid. Have to go to bed now after a day at w**k. I am a medcial receptionist in a medcial practice that DH is a doctor in. You also meet some very interesting (not) people there. Good night and can't wait to see what has been written in the morning. |

| Tinkerbell819 Wed 10/24/2007 7:00a | Rt, I had no idea what that stood for, 2 seconds later, my friend google told me what it was. ;) I am trying to determine the time difference here in PA (EST) to TQ in Aust. If it's 9pm there it's 7AM here, I think...like I said before, when I travel to DL, I have a hard time with the long flight and the time change, you must have a heck of a time adjusting to a 7 or 8 hour time change! And again when you get home! Yikes! I'll see everybody later, I am headed to the supermarket and to a school meeting. No big paying j#%bs today! :( Hey, yesterday I made $45! Maybe I could get us 2 'ritas! I sent an inv. for $40 for the hospital j$B and some guy stopped by to get something notarized and I got another $5! Cool beans! I'm in the money...I'm rollin' in dough... |

| TXDISNEYNERD Wed 10/24/2007 7:31a | Rt - I had no idea what that stood for and I even had a baby last year.
Villians - I feel so sorry for HD being drug into all of HER drama.
I'm glad another lurker was pulled in. Welcome MMW.
Well, I better get to -you know what-. I'm an Accountant and the end of the month is coming up so I better get busy. |

| MerryMouseWife Wed 10/24/2007 8:05a | I knew what it meant, but Tink beat me to it. In my w***, I deal with tons of acronyms and abbreviations.
Would love to meet everyone who will be there on November 27-29. Just can't spend a long time. DH might get jealous because this is supposed to be our 2nd honeymoon. Good thing our hotel is close. giggle
Sigh. Unfortunately, I do have a j** and am currently avoiding w*** but I really do need to get started before they come looking for me. Fortunately, I w*** at home and do not have anyone looking over my shoulder. Unfortunately, this is my longer day to w***, 10 hours, so I better get cracking. I will check in later.
Happy Morning Everyone! |

| MOLLYSMOM Wed 10/24/2007 9:24a | Whoa...you guys were very busy last night.
A hearty welcome to MMW! I, too, have a 13 yr old. We'll be able to share horror stories during the next several years. My BIL lives in Mesa...is that far from you? It didn't escape my notice that you made no mention of saying the sacred oath. We'll cut you a break for now. Once you take that oath, you are stuck with us for life, so I understand that you may want to be sure of your committment before you proceed.
Ok...so practically ALL of you will be in Disneyland together?!??!?!?!!? NO FLIPPING WAY??!?!?!?!? I guess it was fate that we all hook up here. I am soooooo bent that I will miss the gathering. On a positive note...I'm gonna love the picture of you all toasting my wonderfullness at Rita's. Good thing you made more money yesterday, tink...this is gonna take quite a few ritas to get to know each other.
tink...right you are about making a list. It's gonna look more like a flow chart when I'm through. We got screen names, shortened screen names, DH, DD, DS, w**k, state of residency, next trip to DL...there is a lot to keep straight. SOME of us had a hard enough time before we got new friends. I won't mention any names so I don't make tink feel like a goober. Hey...we also need to know where our new friends stand on the christmas shopping/wrapping issue. Maybe you can pick up another one for your side, tink. You need it, because mickey and I are kicking tail in that department.
So...we have 2 of our new friends in the medical field...RT and TQ. This could come in handy. mickey has her deal, tink has early onset of Alzheimer's, villains has the ankle thingy...I guess we should add "medical issues" to our chart as well.
We're gonna have to stay on our toes with TQ, gals. We have the time diffrence to deal with, the opposite seasons, and then there's the fact that she talks funny. I guess we should have a place on our chart listing time zones as well. We get pretty testy with those of us that don't check in when we think they should. Remember how we squawked at mater??? Well, she kinda deserved it...something about her DH needing his beauty sleep or some darn thing.
I saw the 20/20 show last night, too. I cannot comprehend that much devestation no matter how many times I see it. DH and I were talking this a.m. on the way to w**k, and he mentioned that they are reporting 1500 or so homes burnt, but how do they REALLY know for sure until people can start returning to their homes. I'm afraid that it will be much worse than they anticipate. Reading the boards, we have a lot of LP family members that are in harm's way, or have relatives that are. So awful for them.
villains...your situation lately reads like a sick, twisted sit-com. If it wasn't for your DD getting drug into it, it would be completely hysterrical. RT is right. This woman sounds pretty scary when it comes right down to it. It makes me wonder about her ex-DH. Does he seem odd, too? If not, I can't help but think that between her drug issues and total lack of responsibility why he hasn't gone for custody of HD. If YOU have seen how she is, HE must have as well. You can't live with that and be TOTALLY in the dark. Besides, they got divorced, right? Something was "off" then. Her DD is too young and too impressionable to be exposed to this type of thing.
villains...you still owe us the horror story of your trip home. You keep us dangling on purpose, don't you? |

| MerryMouseWife Wed 10/24/2007 10:05a | I swear I took the oath last night before I posted. I did forget to mention it. I shall self-flagellate with a wet noodle after w**k for forgetting to mention it.
I have my Christmas fund ready, but like to do my shopping on the day after Thanksgiving. It is a thing with my oldest daughter and I.

| TXDISNEYNERD Wed 10/24/2007 10:16a | I think I am going to have to create a spreadsheet to keep everything straight so I don't get into trouble with anyone for forgetting things which I am prone to do.
I forgot to tell Mater earlier, how smart I think her husband sounds. Hook 'em horns. <g>
I also forgot that Villians does still owe us the horror story of her trip home. I guess I was distracted by all the crazy stories about HER.
I think it is so cool to have an internet friend from Down Under. That is a place I would love to visit someday.
I am jealous so many of you will be at DL the same time. I am going in March 2008. Anybody else going to be there then? |

| TXDISNEYNERD Wed 10/24/2007 10:20a | MMW - I too am a Black Friday shopper. My Mom, sisters, and I always go shopping that day. However, the last five years or so, I hit the stores at 5 AM and just meet them later as they are not really early birds. Last year I shopped for 12 hours that day and had 95% of my shopping done after that. |

| MerryMouseWife Wed 10/24/2007 10:35a | That's what I do, TX. I try to get it all done if possible because I like it to be done. Then I can wrap up the gifts and they will be under the tree when we get it and put it up.
I will save some of the shopping for our trip. I like getting Christmas ornaments for our extended family and then also give to their favorite charity. This way it does not break the bank. I am looking forward to getting Disney ornaments for gifts this year. As well as replacing a couple that our darling cat, Norman, knocked off last year's tree and they shattered on our tile floor. Waaahhhh! |
