Wed 10/24/2007 10:44a | Ugh...I can only say hi - as I am off to the denist AGAIN...This was planned to fix some of the other fillings - less pain now so that is very good - but did you know too much Advil will make you constipated - now you do!!
Today is early day at school so I will try and be back somewhere in there - DH is suppose to hook me up with internet in the house on my computer, but with the DSL prob last week he hasn't got to it yet...We have delayed internet in the house because of the kids - I am pretty strict and somewhat overprotective and there are way too many weirdo's out in cyberspace - Just look around here and my point is proven ;P
I will update on SIL temper tantrum in Valencia's Marie Calendars on the way home!! Fun stuff! |

Wed 10/24/2007 11:11a | Villians, I am so sorry about your tooth pain. I hope this trip gets you all fixed up. I had a crown placed right before we went to DL last October. By the time we were half-way through our trip, the tooth started hurting and by the time we got home, I was in such pain I had to call my dentist on Sunday and get scheduled for a root canal on my birthday. Happy Birthday to me!
Yes, Advil will make you constipated and Vicodin make me throw up. lol

MMW...we will take your word that you have indeed said the oath. At this point we have no reason to doubt you.
Now about doing all the shopping on Black Friday...MMW and TX are participants in that ritual. MMW makes it a family affair so we really can't give her grief for that. So, what team do we put them on? The early birds, or the procrastinators? We need a judge's ruling. First we need to elect one of us the judge. Nominations, ladies? I'll nominate mater. She's still kinda on the fence about this issue, so she can see the pros and cons of both sides and perhaps be more objective. Plus, she does rather well at not taking sides or being overly vocal when some of us get into it over something. Maybe she IS like Switzerland, or maybe she's just a woosie, but either way, it works for me, so I nominate her.
I believe villains called us all cyberspace weirdos. Personally, I'd be offended if it weren't true.
Thanks for the "heads up" about the use of Advil in relationship to one's pooper, villains. That's handy information to know. Perhaps our medical personnel friends here can enlighten us on that particular connection. |

I look at airfare EVERY day, and if a killer deal comes up, I'm out of here. DH has no problem with going whenever I tell him to get in the car and drive to the airport...I TRY to maintain control. Now that I can fly Express Jet to Long Beach, I'm guessing I will head down more often.
Our plans right now, are christmas 2008 and summer 2009. Subject to change at any time.

As for the Christmas shopping thing, I'm sure when Mater checks in she'll agree that shoppers starting on Black Fri. belong on OUR side. As I mentioned earlier, that's when I start, but unlike MMW & TX I can't seem to force myself out of bed at 4AM, so by the time I get to the store at 10AM, I end up with a box of tissues and a pair of sweat pants.
I was wondering how Villains tooth was when MM mentions her ankle...then a few posts later I see it's still bothering her. I hope it didn't hurt during her trip. I'm telling you, V's stories should be on Desperate Housewives! ;)
Villains metioned the nuts on the internet and it reminded me of my 3rd trip to DL where I was going to my first LP meet. I tell my DS not to talk to strangers on the internet and here I was, by myself with him and his brother taking them to meet strangers that I met on the ...you know what. What a bad example I set for my kids. I was talking to my DH on the phone from DL and he asked how the meet was. He said my Mom was really nervous about it and asked him, "Do you think she'll be all right?" "Is it safe". "You know those stories they have on the news about bad people on the internet." lol
He said, "She's in DL, she'll be fine. If they asked her to meet them in the parking lot at Von's at midnight, I'd be worried."

tink...baa haa haa!!! If I didn't love ya, I wouldn't tease ya so much. You know that, right? I can be nice if you want me to...just say the word.
Didn't villains say that she was thinking about getting her ankle done BEFORE her november trip? Or was it all of us that nagged her to do so? I know we gave her a lot of grief about it, but I think she tended to agree with us. Probably to shut us up, no doubt. I think we need to start in on her again. She could really cause more damage if that thing were to "let go" on her. Once again, our medical community might be able to help us out on this one.
Too cute of a story about internet strangers, tink. How true, though. We police our kids and pound in their heads to stay out of chat rooms, and here we sit, sharing pretty personal stuff (villains' constipation comes to mind) with each other like it's nothin'. Who knows who we really are? mater's awfully quiet and reserved (compared to the rest of us). She could actually be some lunatic psycho escapee from the state mental hospital for all we know. Actually, a lunatic psycho would fit right in, and probably not stand out one bit. |
