| MOLLYSMOM Wed 10/31/2007 1:33p | TX..."Ding" is a nifty little deal that Southwest airlines offers.
Several times throughout the month, Southwest will offer up a "Ding" fare. These fares are dirt cheap, and you can only purchase them THAT day. The "Dings" that come through may not be from your home airport all the time, and the available dates of travel may not be what you want...but if the fare is good, a quickie trip is in order! On the Southwest site, you download "Ding". When the "Dings" come out, your computer will make the "Ding" sound.
A friend got a "Ding" from Seattle to Orlando for $49.00 one way...you CANNOT beat that. |

| travellerandquilter Wed 10/31/2007 1:40p | How I envy you for being able to 'pop' to DL on short notice. It will cost me about $3000 for airfare! I am still trying to convince DH that going in Dec 2008 to see the Christmas stuff is on my agenda but he is not convinced. DS18 DS16 and DD11 are very keen! Sorry I am of the messy house side and many times I do not wash the clothes daily! Amazing that the family survives and does not get sick!! Off to start the shopping see you all later!! |

| TXDISNEYNERD Wed 10/31/2007 1:41p | Thanks for explaining DING to me. I feel like a DINGbat for not knowing. I feel enlightened. Maybe I'll go Christmas shopping tonight and correct all the errors of my ways. Nahhh... |

| mickeynewe Wed 10/31/2007 2:16p | TQ-- don't feel bad. I personally prefer a clean house, but it is hopeless with my DH and DD. They do not care if it is a mess or not, which means that all my work is pointless once they get home from school/work. Within a half hour it looks as if I have never touched the place. It can get very weary at times...... |

| mater4 Wed 10/31/2007 4:19p | Villians- My days at DL are the 25-28. We drive home on the 29 and we are leaving early to beat LA morning traffic so DH says. We kennel our dog and my DH has until 5pm to pick him up or he will have to stay another night. Mickey- you are killing me with this shopping and wrapping thing. Is it ever hard for you to see all of these gifts in your house waiting to be put under a tree or given to someone? For those that want to solicit aid from Mickey and MM maybe MM will work for beer and Mickey will work for brownies.HeHe! My house is still a mess. No cleaning fairy for the kids rooms today. Instead I had to go to the dentist to pick up a note for DD's school so they can excuse her missed instruction yesterday. We discovered she has 5 cavities. :( (she brushes her teeth twice a day. apparently not good enough.) The good news is they are all baby teeth so we don't need to fill them since they are due to fall out. I do have to get her molars sealed with sealant. I will do the same for her adult teeth that come in. Well I guess I should pick up some clutter in my house before it becomes worse. Villians hopefully we can meet at Ritas or something to get MM picture along with anyone else who might be there on that day. |

| gottaluvdavillains Wed 10/31/2007 4:37p | Actually Mater is very clever...She can shop for all her stocking stuffers at Disneyland!!! Unless you are like me and picked a name or two for the kiddies that DL doesn't seem to recognize!!
MM is willing to work for beer - there are probably a few gifts you could get her to make for both kiddies (nice custome sewn jammies or such)...
See MM finishing early isn't always a good thing. |
