| mater4 Wed 10/31/2007 5:47p | LOL! MM you are too funny. Be careful though as you can see Villians has discovered the method to my madness. It has occured to me to save some shopping for DL. Some of us are smart like that. In fact I have informed my DH that he will be buying my gift at DL. I normally don't like to know my gifts but there is something I really want at DL. |

| travellerandquilter Thu 11/1/2007 2:41a | Hope you all enjoyed your halloween. It is generally not celebrated in Australia so we do not understand how big it is. Well back from starting my present buying and think I bought for 8 people which is a great start. No wrapping though as the drive to the mall or shopping centre is 1 hr and 10 mins each way. I live in a country town with 8000 people so the shopping is limited but I try and buy local where I can. Have to go to w**k tomorrow and these funds will go to our trip in Jan. Read you tomorrow |

| TXDISNEYNERD Thu 11/1/2007 7:28a | I hope everyone had a nice Halloween. My DD1 had a blast. She was so cute and just had a grin on her face the whole night. RT - We are still waiting to hear all the great jokes.
TQ - Wow, you got 8 people done. That was quite a productive day. I live in a country town smaller that yours. We have less than 3000 people, but we have a Walmart 15 minutes away and a couple of malls about 30 minutes away and I visit these places often so I don't have any excuse.
Mater - I think you are definitely the President of the procrastinators although waiting to shop at DL sounds like a good idea to me. So what is the present you want your DH to get you from DL? I can't wait and do my shopping at DL as <<tears flowing now>> I won't be able to be there <<sniffling>> at DL when all of you guys are. You will have to have a drink for me.
I do have a couple of things bought, but only one person done. I thought I might go shopping this weekend, but then I remembered...this is race weekend. I don't know if any of you follow Nascar, but this weekends race is at the track really close to my house. When I am outside, I can hear the cars zooming around the track. It is impossible to go anywhere that weekend. I will swing by the store on my way home tonight to get supplies to make sure I don't need to venture out this weekend. |

| MOLLYSMOM Thu 11/1/2007 9:01a | I won't sew jammies for beer....I hate to sew...hate it, hate it, hate it. I might consider sewing jammies for a KEG of beer...maybe.
Finishing early gives me the opportunity to get a head start on NEXT year, villains. I've already got 8 or 10 things put away for next year. Double neener neener.
TX...we will have a support group for those of us not going to DL this month, so dry your tears.
We had a very quiet Halloween. DH and I made up a big feast of tacos, and I watched my spook show that was on from 6 to midnight. DH was sleeping on the sofa by 8:15. I had to pop him upside the head a time or two because he started snoring. He wouldn't go to bed because he said he didn't want me to get scared...his snorin' is scarier than my spook show.
TQ...too bad you don't celebrate Halloween there...it's kinda fun.

| mickeynewe Thu 11/1/2007 10:01a | Once again, its nice to know I am not the ONLY one that shops this early for NEXT year. Hey, when you see the deal, and you know it is what someone would love, in the closet it goes!
Hey, MM, have you noticed that we seem to be pulling more and more over to the LIGHT side and out of the darkness? I think we should feel accomplished. Except for Tink--- that gal isn't budging. So sad....
Okay, totally off on a new tangent--- since we've shared almost everything else about ourselves on here....
Can anyone recommend a good eye corrective treatment/cream? For Christmas I want to give myself the gift of making my crowsfeet disappear, or at least fade a little! *sigh* The only good thing about them, atleast this is what I tell myself, is that it means I smile often-- and if I must have wrinkles, at least they are caused by happiness!
Okay, so I have just left myself wide-open for MM's wisecracks. :P |

| MOLLYSMOM Thu 11/1/2007 11:22a | tink is just being stubborn. She WANTS to come to our side, but she's afraid of our ribbing her to death. I bet she's done lots of shopping, but would duct tape her mouth shut before she'd tell us.
Hey...I'm gonna be 50 in February...I don't make jokes about crow's feet.
My sister swears by Oil of Olay Regenerist. I've also heard that something called Strivectin (spelling?) is amazing, but it's kinda spendy. I suppose if it works, and it's cheaper than a facelift, what the heck. I've used the Regenerist stuff, but I'm not overly dilligent about it. When I WAS, it seemed to make a difference, though. I have the laugh lines, too...plus, I've been a sun worshiper since birth, and I squint often because I refuse to wear my contacts. Put that all together, and I have the laugh lines goin' on. I'd try the Regenerist stuff first and see if it does anything. |

| gottaluvdavillains Thu 11/1/2007 12:03p | Okay now I am going to be in trouble...I wasn't able to get a decent price for a room or two in monterey for tonight (kids have tomorrow off) so I kind of figured we would skip it and maybe just go to the oakland zoo (they have a new childrens zoo) or something local...No big deal - but my reasoning was the hotel price - I hate paying full price for a hotel... Here's the trouble part - I found out yesterday that the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana concert opened more ticket availablity - well I looked yesterday and all the tickets were kind of behind the stage so really no interest in watching the back of her head!! But for some reason I checked again today and guess what we got really good tickets...So I guess DD9 and I are off to see Hannah Montana!! DD doesn't know yet - I am not sure if I will tell her right after school - or when we are on our way!! DH is going to just roll his eyes!! |

| mickeynewe Thu 11/1/2007 12:14p | YAY! Congrats Villians! That is awesome news! Your DD9 is going to be sooo excited. I vote for a "mystery trip". My daughter LOVES those, especially when we take her BFF along with us.
In fact, I was thinking of doing a mystery trip to the corn maze. It sounded like fun. I love mazes.
See, diligence pays off! Good for you Villians. You win the Mommie-of-the-Day award! *hands over trophy* |
