| rtjl72 Thu 11/1/2007 6:49p | that sil is bad-bad-bad! keep your kids away from evil spirits and evil people. even though she is family, you might want to think if you would let her be around your kids if she were just a somebody. probably not. sorry, but just because your family you don't get a free ticket to make my kids feel bad. |

| rtjl72 Thu 11/1/2007 6:52p | re: visa. so it's a 1% cash back? i don't have one , but have been thinking about getting one before i book airfare, etc. so for every 1,000 i get $10? hey, i'm a nurse not the math person in the family. dh is that - and you all know i'm letting him in on very few of the monetary details of this trip. |

| mickeynewe Thu 11/1/2007 7:51p | lol--you're funny. Yes, 1% doesn't sound like much, but you'll be amazed how fast it does add up. We use our credit card all month, then pay it off to avoid service charges. So, its like getting free points. Double points are even better! We usually use our points to pay for our food at DL while there.
Survivor is on in 10 minutes. I love that show. |

| gottaluvdavillains Thu 11/1/2007 11:21p | Okay just got back from Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert - I am slowly getting my hearing back!!! I have never been to a concert with a bunch of little girls - We took the older boys to Weird AL (that is an awesome show) - but an arena full of girls OMG!!
So ran into SIL friend on bart (bay area rapid transit - kinda like a subway) both on the way there and back - Funny thing is SIL says bad things about this friend and especially her daughter whenever they are not around - She is a very sweet lady and is a single parent - they were meeting at the concert and had bought tix together - so on the way there she said hi to us, but didn't really talk to us...I am sure she called SIL and told her she saw us and SIL told her to avoid us!! We never saw them at the concert (thank goodness - I wouldn't have wanted DD snubbed). On the way back she passed us on the bart but only said hi again and a quick question about how DD liked the concert, but didn't really stop to hear what DD said and went into the next car (SIL was probably up there)...Well SIL uses different stop so we get off the bart at the same stop as her friend and she starts asking about our seats - so finally I asked her what section she was in (now remember they bought there tix withing the first minute they came available a few months ago) we were in the same section not only that we were two rows closer than them in seats 3/4 and they were 8/9/10/11... Funny since we bought ours today 7 hours before the start of the concert!!!
RT - I agree family shouldn't get a free pass - but SIL has always been a rat like that - I go months without any contact with her and then some family event (kids bday) comes up and things slowly start to mend - I try to never completely let my guard down, but things go well for a really long time - sometimes for over a year and then bam she's got things all screwed up again!! Funny thing is she always twists things over time to convince everyone that it's all me never her - funny thing is no one buys into her game!!!
So tired so read you all sometime tomorrow - we are off to the Oakland Zoo and a nice lunch at Black Angus (our favorite - next to sweet tomatoes- but we have a coupon!) |

| travellerandquilter Thu 11/1/2007 11:52p | Ok home now. 1. Santa Sack is what santa puts all the presents in. Often a pillow case. 2. I have heard of the bobbit case and I think it could have used many, many times since in times of extreme need! Glad concert was good. Boy you have a wacko SIL. She sounds like a moody teenager rather than an adult. It must make family meets really difficult and I think you are right to never let your guard totally down. |

| TXDISNEYNERD Fri 11/2/2007 7:14a | Wow Villians. Your SIL is definitely a piece of work. I thought the same thing as Mater did that she was trying to make you look like the bad mom forgetting her child. I don't know how anyone could do that.
It sounds like your DD had a great time at the concert. I wonder how she guessed. I think it is funny that you had better tickets than everyone.
I haven't watched Survivor this time. I have watched almost every other season, but I was busy and missed the first couple episodes so then I never started.
Thanks for the info on the Disney Visa Mickey. We just got one about a month ago specifically for the Disney trip coming up. I have paid the deposit on it, but the rest of the trip isn't due until the first part of next year. I may go ahead and put it on there in December though if it gives me double points. That will help me get back to DL quicker. It is nice that you can take your time paying the trip off since it is interest free for 6 months. |

| TXDISNEYNERD Fri 11/2/2007 7:18a | TQ - I am glad you told us what a Santa sack it. I thought it was like our stockings, but I guess it is much bigger. So how does Santa do things in Australia? Does he leave the santa sack under the tree full of presents. Are they wrapped or unwrapped? |

| TXDISNEYNERD Fri 11/2/2007 7:20a | Villians - Aren't you supposed to get the rest of your money from HER today? I hope you get it.
MM - We are all ready for your story about HIM. |

| Tinkerbell819 Fri 11/2/2007 7:30a | Villains, I'm sorry I forced you into reliving your trip home, Yikes!!! I don't even know what to say, I can't imagine how you drove her home after that. How could any mom leave a child unattended in a rest stop restroom? She sounds like a monster. (Actually she sounds exactly like my bf's SIL. Is she from Jersey? lol)
I'm so glad the concert was fun and that your seats were so good, too! You deserve a good time (and better seats than SIL!) after the last 2 trips you've had.
Have a good time today, too!
I also wanted to ask how the Halloween stuff was in DL. What is California Screams like? Is it a movie or a skit?
