Does anyone know how this new DVC wing will be shaped? Will it simply extend south from the edge of the current wing down towards Mullholland Madness? Or will the wing also turn off in a "L" shape to the east toward the pool. The plot of land in question just seems small for a 200-250 room wing.

And I really hope Mullholland Madness is gone by the time this new wing opens. I'd hate a room that close over looking that ugly thing! Alot of thought will have to go into the rebuild of the area from Mullholland Madness up towards the Golden Dreams theater with the hotel looking out over those buildings.

The new wing is supposed to be L shaped, but turn toward the raod in front of the hotel. If you look on Google Earth (or some similar aerial photo of the area) there is a parking lot there (valet spaces) that approximates the shape of the new wing pretty well.

Ewww, if that is true then a ot of the rooms will over look the "cloud wall" of Mullholland Madness.

the cloud wall will not be there.

Also until recently most of that view was gone because of the large trees that were recently removed

Al Lutz on Miceage is saying tonight that a "press announcement" will be made on Tuesday about the Grand Californian expansion and DVC. It's a blurb from Mr. Lutz on the front page of Miceage tonight.

We should know more in a few days.

i hope they saved those big trees they took out then bean. Disney is pretty good with doing this. They did it in a lot of places during the initial resort expansion.

<<Some of those trees where relocated within the grizzly peak area>>

That's good to know. Where were the trees originally located?
