I am thinking about changing my booking from the Sequoia lodge to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, I have stayed there twice before and think its fantastic, but this time I thought I might try a castle club room. I have read about the castle club in the brochure , but is it really worth paying the extra to upgrade?

I haven't stayed at the Disneyland Hotel at all, though I have visited.

I can't imagine what would be so special about the Castle Club that would justify the huge price increase. The cost just seems ridiculous.

I get paying extra for the location of the DL Hotel, but what is so much more special at the Castle Club?

Having said that I stayed in one of the Admiral's Rooms at the Newport and thought they were great because we were able to eat in our room etc. so maybe I'm a hypocrite!!!

I do not think it is worth upgrading to the Castle Club rooms. All you really get is a private elevator that takes you down to the ticket booths instead of having to walk out the main entrance and to the park gates.

Hmmm, I am not a huge fan of the Castle Club (not worth it IMHO). But the perks include unlimited fast passes, free softdrinks, a wine reception each evening, and a private elevator to the front gates. That is all.
