Since October marks the beginning of the fiscal year for Disney, chances are we may be seeing some concept art for all the DCA changes pretty soon. So here's my question: word on the street is they're planning on installing a preview center at DCA to show to the public what they intend to do with Disneyland's sister park. Any ideas as to when this will open and when we might finally get to see all that concept art?

Al Lutz is the one who mentioned this, in his last update. He didn't give a timeline though, just "2008".

I think it's a cool idea! For some reason they gave up on Preview Centers several years ago, even though in this Internet Age a well done Preview Center would generate pictures and videos and untold fan coverage for whatever was on display. That was awfully shortsighted of them to scale back and cease doing Park Preview Centers in the Pressler/Harriss era.

They had a pretty nice preview center in HKDL when I was there. It was in the Opera House and it was a little exhibit about the history of what it took to make the park, and then about a third of it was dedicated to future attractions. It was hardly anything spectacular, but it was one of those really neat things that I'm glad I got to see (similar to the Disney Gallery). I would really like to see something like this for DLR. It would be nice to have one in each park, but one for the whole resort in one place would work too.

2008?!
Another year???

Why wait? It's time to get the buzz going on several projects, now!

Shouldn't take more than a few weeks to throw together.

There is still a preview area in the exit from the Opera House. It has a very simple timeline, followed by the newest attractions for both Disneyland and DCA. I was surprised to see they didn't replace Monsters Inc. with Toy Story Mania. Perhaps there will be an update to cover all the upcoming changes. It would be quite easy to do.

Inside DCA, there's a big empty building in the San Francisco area. It was used most recently for the California Food and Wine Weekends. That could be tricked up very quickly.

I read that the Preview Center would be in the row of San Francisco Buildings- the ones they used as an arcade during Christmas I think.

There was a long thread not too long ago about the rumor of a preview center:
