| FerretAfros Tue 2/19/2008 4:01p | Wow! For some reason, it's never really looked that big until now. That place is going to be huge! |

| irishfan Tue 2/19/2008 6:41p | That is big, it's as if they've added an extra four floors to the Disneyland Hotel in Paris. |

| Malin Wed 2/20/2008 2:54a | A lot of people are noticing how similar looking it is to the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. |

| FerretAfros Wed 2/20/2008 8:40a | I can see the similarites, but I really don't think they look that much a like. Sure, they're both hotel towers that are beige with a blue roof. Paris is designed to look like it's from the 1800's, while the TDLH definately took more of the inspiration from the Victorian era (with a little bit of Midevil castle for good measure). The Paris hotel also looks a lot more bland and industrial, and lacks almost any detail on the tower itself, other than the roofing at the top. There's really no comparison between the two, other than small surface similarities.

| SuperDry Wed 2/20/2008 9:32p | re #12: wow - that sure does look big. It took me a little while to figure out where the picture had been taken from. It appears to be taken from right in front of JR Maihama Station and in front of Ikspiari, near the elevated circular walkway that rings the bus stops. From that standpoint, it's going to dominate the view for most resort visitors as they come off the JR train. |

| Mr X Wed 2/20/2008 9:43p | Sure is a lot nicer than the old "ocean of parking lots" view we used to have!
Looks like a nice hotel, eh?

| SuperDry Fri 2/22/2008 12:37a | I don't think the old view was all that bad, but nothing particularly Disney really dominated. Now, if you're going to TDL, the TDLH will likely dominate the view until you get to the park entrance area (overtaken by Bon Voyage for a little bit if you walk), and then you turn and see the entrance as it's always been seen. Not a big issue in the larger scheme of things, but it's just not something that I expected until now when thinking about TDLH. |
