Yes, of course, he must have okayed them being up there.

And in terms of "appropriate view," the old RJ's were much better than the current AO. Sure, you could see a few things outside the berm, but they were so nondescript, your eye just naturally focused on the things within DL. And mostly, what you saw as you rode was TL. So, simple as it was, it worked as a "flight around TL."

Currently, half of your view is of the castle, the hub, and Main Street. So not only is the ride not as fun being on the ground on a visceral/physical level, on a visual level as a rider it's not as "Tomorrowland" as it used to be either.

What I don't like visually about the current ride is that half of it is so close to the PM tracks, but the other half has so much room. When you wind up on the TL side, it just seems like you're over there just so you can get back to the hub. The side with the open space is alright (the trees and everything hardly look futuristic, but make it fun), but the side against the buildings and track just seems too close and too cluttered.

<<I later confirmed this with a cast member who escorted us on a ride on the Lilly Belle.>>

Hint to submarine-maniac: If you ever, ever, ever want to be taken seriously, you must NEVER spout something as true because you "confirmed" it with a "Cast Member" in the Park.

Seriously. Please believe me.

>I also like Rockin' Mel Schlurb's Dance Party.<

Wasn't it Slirrup or Slurp? Been a while since I've seen it, but he was always one of my favorites, too!
