The AA figures for the raft ride.

Speaking of the raft ride, I do think it'd be nice to put something along there, why not?

Of course it's always good to add things wherever you can. If they added something, how can that be bad? I have just been saying it'd be very hard to see.

What about a coaster themed to driving drunk on Mullholland after a trip to the beer garden. The entrance would be through the resturarant to add authenticity...but that would never happen, as it is in horrible taste, but given that people were talking about a car themed coaster next to the beer garden, it was all I could think of...

Maybe the 1.2 billion is a "PR stunt" to persuade city council on that land use measure. Who knows? I guess time will tell.

But the 1.2 Billion was info first leaked about by Al Lutz. And the lead up info over several months to the awarding of the 1.2 Billion was also info leaked by Al Lutz. Pretty much all the info on DCA changes have come from Al Lutz in the past few years, with a few other nuggets thrown out by bean or the dwindling list of "insiders".

And you could even argue that 95% of the time those "insiders" are only responding to stuff that Al Lutz talked about first.

So my point is, if all of this information and all of these rumors are traced back to Al Lutz with rare exceptions, I doubt this whole thing was a PR stunt to persuade the city council.

To believe that you'd have to believe that Al Lutz was being purposely fed stuff by TDA, at the same time Al Lutz is heavily criticizing some of the policies and practices of TDA.

For what it's worth, I work at Disneyland 40+ hours a week, and I've never seen Ed Grier in the Park. I used to see Matt Ouimet ALOT. And I used to see Cynthia Harriss less than Ouimet, but still fairly regularly and consistently out in the Park. She hugged me several times.

But I've never seen Ed Grier in the Park. Ever. We were thinking that with the Pirate's Lair thing this summer he would finally come down and check out the River, just for kicks. Maybe even jump in a canoe for a trip, or take a spin on the Mark Twain. But, nope. I doubt Grier knows where the Rivers of America is.

We also didn't see Ed Grier on the opening day of Haunted Mansion Holiday this year. Matt Ouimet used to stop by every year for opening day; he'd chat in the Mansion break room and take a trip to check out the ride and say hello to everyone at Load and Unload. And one year Ouimet came back up to the breakroom after his ride and sat down and ate microwave popcorn with us and just talked about our jobs and the funny Guests we meet. What a great guy he was! So casual and genuine!

And I remember Cynthia being there at Mansion a few times during the busy Holiday overlay season too, when the concept was new. She always had a little group of TDA helpers with her, so you knew she was there. No Ed Grier at Haunted Mansion on opening day though, and not since.

Yeah it's not neccesary to have the President of Disneyland walking the Park every day and checking on stuff. We can take care of the Park just fine ourselves, thank you very much. But it would be nice to see the guy just once or twice a year just to know that he acknowledges our existence and remembers we're still there.

Give it a rest.

Or are you going to start calling us all Defenders of Mediocrity now?

Grier doesn't need to walk in the park to make you feel better about yourself or whatever it is you seem to need from him.

People have different styles. Maybe he's busy with other things. It really is a totally unimportant thing.

If it were me, I'd be out now and then doing it.

Why is it so important that Ed Grier be seen in the park? I don't understand this.
