We have changed our touring dates to Jan. 21,22,23,24 and 25.

I checked the "temporary closure of attractions" section on the official TDR page and Indiana Jones is scheduled for closure Jan. 7 --- Jan. 20.

Does TDR have a reliable track record of keeping to their refurb. schedules? I really don't want to miss that attraction so I was wondering what might the likelihood be that I.J. will be open on my visit based on the published schedule.

Does Disney Sea's volcano erupt every day of the year or is it turned off during certain seasons or times? I would hate to find out that it is "dormant" during the winter or value/off season. Should we expect an active volcano for our trip?

Many thanks ahead of time.

The volcano is active 365 days a year as far as I know. Don't know if they have a maintenence schedule though, most likely they have to get in there and fix stuff SOMETIMES I would guess.

Can't speak for the attractions, I've never paid attention to maintenence schedules.

1. Yes, they are very exact when it comes to their refurbishing schedule.

2. And Mount Prometheus is active every single day of the year, erupting on a hourly basis during normal park operations.

It's not hourly TDR-Fan, it's on a mixed schedule so it appears random.

Now that's what I call great service from you two!(it's only fitting that I'm in the TDR section of LP too as opposed to say the relatively poor service at WDW).

Thanks very much X and TDR_Fan.

My mistake. It seemed to be erupting every hour or so when I was at the MiraCosta, but it wasn't exactly on the hour every eruption. There never seems to be a gap of more than 2 hours between the eruptions though.

I don't really remember the schedule all that clearly, but behind the scenes it is actually programmed as "part of the entertainment", meaning they generally timed it so there wasn't an exploding volcano erupting in the middle of an atmosphere show even...

And yes, it's fairly frequent but not so much that you can really sit there and wait for it (on purpose), it's just something magical that "happens" when you least expect it. ;)
