You can imagine that the list is actually hundreds of titles long, with most of the names being invisible because nobody cares about them.
Does that help? Maybe somebody else can explain it better.

You can give all three votes to one movie, or one each to three different movies, or one point to one movie and two to another.
I think that covers all the possibilities. :-)
