| Mauison Wed 11/14/2007 12:36a | We had about a 20-30 minute wait this past Thursday night, while the parade was going on. On Friday-Saturday, the time board said 65-75 minutes and on Sunday, it said 120. |

| sbez30 Wed 11/14/2007 2:27p | On Sunday 11/11 we got in line around 7:00pm right where the sign said 60 min and it was about a 40 min wait. |

We went back around 2pm and asked the CM how long the wait was. She said about 35 minutes so we figured this was our chance. About 20 minutes later we were on a sub, so not bad.
We were a little disappointed in the story, but that's the topic for another thread. |

| bobiascastle Fri 11/16/2007 7:35p | When we went on 11/7 (Wednesday) we speed-walked there at opening & got right on. GREAT RIDE! As we were leaving the line was wrapped around the Matterhorn. We were glad we got that out of the way.
That day was a school in service for Anaheim so there were a lot of little kids running around. BUT it was a great day & really the lines weren't bad. |

And even if you were able to get to Nemo quickly enough at rope drop such that you had a minimal wait, you need to factor in how much time you spend in the security line, turnstile line, and at rope drop in order to get to that position. Once you add all that up, I don't think being even the first guest to ride in the morning is actually all that short a wait.
Based on everything I've read, it seems that near park closing is going to have consistently the shortest wait times for Nemo. |

The pattern seems to be that many people head to Nemo first thing so that the longest lines all day for Nemo tend to happen in the morning. By the afternoon those people absolutely had to ride Nemo first thing have gone on it and the line time goes down.
It is a much more effective strategy to go on other things first and wait for the Nemo line to die down. The reason is that in addition to the Nemo wait time, the ride is fairly long at about 15 to 20 minutes (including load/unload).
If you get there first thing in the morning, you can go on all the fantasyland attraction save Small World and the Storybook Boats in less than 40 minutes. If you go on them in the afternoon, you can spend 40 minutes waiting on each of the Matterhorn, Peter Pan, or Dumbo.
Early morning, the best thing to do is to go on attractions with short ride times that will have longer waits during the day.
The rest of the part will also go very smoothly. The attraction with Fastpass will not have anyone on them early in the day using FPs so the standby lines go quickly (although if you have other things you want to go on, it is best to use fast passes for FP attractions).
If you look at your TOTAL waiting in line time for the day. It is best to go on many other attractions first and then wait for the line to die down to less than 1 hour and gut it out on Nemo (it will still usually be shorter unless you are first in line on a non-early entry day).
If you have early entry and you spend the early entry waiting on Nemo it is perhaps the worse strategy as they generally don't open Nemo on early entry. In the time you would go on Nemo one you could have gone on 6 to 10 attractions in the time it will take to go on Nemo and by the time you get off Nemo, it could take you several hours to go on those attractions.
There may be exceptions to the rules above such as on days that are very light or very heavy (Xmas and Thanksgiving).

| ABBY Thu 12/6/2007 7:22a | We were at the park last Thursday through Saturday. On Thursday and Friday the only thing that had any line (besides Bengal BBQ), to speak of, was Nemo. And the lines were long. Never saw it under 45 minutes. We had early entry on Saturday (7am). We arrived at the entrance at about 6:55 and were about 5th in line. We went straight to Nemo upon opening and got on the first sub out. It was awesome!

| monorailblue Thu 12/6/2007 1:19p | May I humbly take this opportunity to laugh as hard as I possibly can, mocking and pointing and jeering at those who professed with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that the submarines would be the "worst public relations debacle" in the Park's history, and that they would cause "untold nightmares for years and years to come" because of their low capacity? I may? Thank you all.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
As one who most proudly decried your farsical claptrap for what it was, I rejoice in your utter wrongness. You all have delighted me beyond my ability to say!
