<<It can take a little while to get your luggage that is why they tell you plan ahead and take what you will need initially in a carry-on.>>

Yes... if you plan ahead it is not a problem.

We used the Magical Express and found it to be very satisfactory considering that it saved us over $100.

We arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving so it was certainly a peak time. Even with the crowds, my wife was able to check-in at the ME with only about a five minute wait. Once in line for our bus we had to wait about 15 minutes. I didn't think that was bad. I've waited in line that long to arrange rental cars at MCO.

Our trip to the resort was about the same as with other transportation I've used. We stopped only at Old Key West before getting to Saratoga Springs. Since you need to drive past OKW to get to Saratoga Springs anyway, it only added about 5 minutes.

When it came to getting our luggage, we were one of the "horror stories". It was really no big deal. We checked into the hotel about 1:30 and our bags arrived about 3-1/2 hours later at 5:00 PM. Well, at least two out of three arrived at 5:00 PM.

Our daughter asked about the third suitcase (my wife and I were napping when they were delivered) and was told not to worry; that it is not uncommon for the luggage to arrive at separate times.

When my wife and I got up we called Bell Services to see if we needed to be in the hotel room when the last bag was delivered. They said absolutely not... that we should feel free to leave and do whatever we wanted to do.

So we did. We went to Epcot and had a very enjoyable evening. The final bag was sitting inside the door when we returned.

We had dressed for our flight in clothes that would be comfortable in the parks. We carried our jackets with us in case they would be needed in the evening (they weren't... we left them in the hotel room). We made sure all or our prescriptions were in the carryon... something we always do anyway in case our luggage would be lost.

We arrived at what was probably a peak time for WDW and ME, and still found the service quite satisfactory. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

We've also experienced a bit of a wait for our bags (3-4 hours), but they've never been lost or anything like that. Since we're getting in later than usual on Thursday (we arrive at 6:30 pm) we're packing our jammies, toothbrushes and nighttime essentials in our carry-ons just in case. And like you said, RoadTrip, we always pack medications and such in our carry-ons also.

This time on Thursday we'll br arriving at Orlando International!

I've only used ME 1 time, and my wife twice. Both times were very pleasant with no complaints. It was great my brother-in-law droped us off at the airport so we were 10 feet from luggage check in. The next time we saw our bags was back in our room at WL, after an evening at Epcot so I don't know how long it took them to arrive. When we got ready to leave we had Bell Service droped them off at the check in spot out front at WL. I think you can do this up to 12 hours before your bus arrives, so you can head back to the parks or what ever you feel like doing. The next time we saw our luggage is when we picked them up at the airport. It was great not lugging the bags around. I highly recommend ME. Like everyone else already said just have the clothes on that you will wear to the park, and make sure to keep your medicine with you, like most people do anyway.

After talking about my success with ME here, I hope I didn't jinx myself into problems this coming Thursday!
