| llanatoye Tue 11/13/2007 6:52p | I have a question. I'm not a seriious pin collector but buy the ones that I like and have at this point about 50 pins. I would like to know how you display your pins. Not in a book but in some kind of frame or shadow box. I've got a couple of ideas but I'm curious how others show off their favorite pins. |

| x Pirate_Princess x Tue 11/13/2007 7:29p | Another podcast I listen to suggested buying a shadow box, and a piece of styrofoam. Cover the styrofoam with a piece of cloth of felt that you like, then just press the pins into it.
I'm a collector, too, but I wear them when I'm at the park..I have a few I could trade, but not many. :) |

| llanatoye Tue 11/13/2007 8:07p | Thanks x Pirate Princess X. I don't wear mine at the park, I buy them because I want them and if some one wanted to trade I probably would and then be sorry I did! But I do wear the seasonal ones to work, thats fun. I'm thinking about trying the shadow box but hadn't considered using styrofoam, I'll give that a try. |

| DlandJB Sat 11/17/2007 9:19p | I have my Dory and cruise line pins in shadow boxes in my room. The shadow boxes I bought have a thick padding already inside, so you can simply attach the pins to the back without having to add anything. Since I am not particularly creative in this area, these are wonderful to have.

| llanatoye Sun 11/18/2007 7:56a | Thanks DlandJB and teddibubbles. I had thought of the shadow boxes and will probably try that. The other idea I had was to frame a map of Disneyland in a poster frame and some how attach the pins to the map. Thats what's stopping me though, I'm not sure just how I can put them onto the map. Oh well, when I finally get it figured out I will post a picture. Thanks again. |

| rockcow1 Thu 11/22/2007 11:21a | I bought a blank canvas for painting. My daughter and I covered it with batting and a plain red mickey silhouette fabric. Then added black satin ribbon all around the edge to finish it. Then she arranged her pin to her liking. The canvas has a natural space for the pin backs and hangs on the wall very easily. |

| teddibubbles Thu 11/22/2007 4:55p | the one I showed you. had a cardboard backing. but you could have a thin pegboard too. and use that. ( BUT make sure you TRY a pin on it first to make sure the backing can fit on it.)
I am going to drill holes in the thin board I have now. for my new frame up.
yup cork is what the pros use in their books pages to hold the pins in place. but they don't use backings. if I didn't have glass in front of mine. I would have the locking backs on mine. just to be sure no one pulls any off. |
