Since their films all exist in the digital plane, they could do this.
92	mawnck Tue 3/25/2008 8:51a	You're correct, sir. Disney did the same thing with Lady and the Tramp! They shot a 4x3 version with the cells moved closer together, for theaters that couldn't handle Cinemascope. Unfortunately, the current crop of home video weasels were too cheap (yet again!) to do a transfer of that version for the latest DVD, giving us a dumb ol' pan-n-scan instead.

95	basil fan Tue 3/25/2008 4:52p	You can also adjust some TVs to cut off the sides yourself by enlarging the picture until it toches the top and bottom of the screen.
