Fri 12/7/2007 6:21p | Based on Thursday numbers, it looks like Enchanted is posed to do a nice gentle drop in the high thirties this weekend. That is much better than the equivalent drop for National Treasure which was in the low forties.
Of course, Enchanted could come far short of National Treasure and still be more succesful based on the loads of merchandising possibilities, theme park tie-ins etc.
On the foreign side, National Treasure made $174 million all together. Unless there's an absolute disaster, Enchanted should have little trouble doing much better than that. |

Sat 12/15/2007 7:18a | It looks like Enchanted may has a slightly worse weekend due to competition from Alvin and the Chipmunks. Alvin and the Chipmunks looks poised to do an opening weekend that matches Enchanted 3-day holiday weekend. Although the reviews are so bad I can't imagine Alvin will challenge Enchanted for the long haul. |
