Does that happen just with the fireworks, or is that a show that happens periodically after dark? If so, is it every 15 minutes like the "clock show" or what?

I'm pretty sure it was every 15 minutes. We were waiting in front for the parade, and saw it multiple times.

Ooh, cool. Another little gem I wasn't expecting that wasn't there last time I went!

Does anyone know if they run it on the hour, 15, 30, and 45, like the clock show (effectively taking the place of the clock show)? Or do they run it in between those times, so they have both the clock show and the light show?

They run the clock show (with March of the Wooden Soldiers) and the light show every fifteen minutes after dusk. At dusk there is a big light-up moment and ceremony.

Do the run the clock show as usual (on the hour, 15, 30, and 45), and then the light show immediately afterward?

Yes. The regular clock show runs every 15 minutes, just as it has since 1966. Once the clock show is done and the big doors to the clock numbers close, there is a brief pause, and then the Christmas light show performs.

The first of these light shows happens once they've done the "Peace On Earth" facade lighting show at dusk, around 5:00pm. So when Disneyland closes at Midnight, this lighting show is performed about 28 times per night - every 15 minutes from 5:00pm-ish until Midnight.

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to check it out in a couple of weeks.

But you raised another question. The "Peace on Earth" facade lighting show. I take it this is different from the one they perform 28 times, and only runs once per day, AT dusk? Is it worth seeing?
All times are Pacific Time (US)
