Remind me who Eliza is?

> We were referring to Ozzy as "monkey boy".>

In our house we call him the "monkey fish" (since he can both climb and swim).

My plan is that I'm not going to watch until after he's been kicked off. The husband watches the show, so he'll tell me when it's ok for me to watch. I'll catch up at that point. If he ends up making it to the jury, then I'll skip the entire season because I don't even want to see him there.

On a different note, a couple of weeks ago, the husband and I were thinking they need to revisit the "battle of the races" thing again, but with a slightly different theme - battle of the religions. We can't decide if it should be just random religions or just the judeo-christian ones, since there are already lots of those, and we only need 4 teams, and regardless, I want one team to be atheists. I'd definitely watch!

>>Remind me who Eliza is?<<

Eliza was in Vanuatu, I think - the season that Chris won. A girl in her early 20s with dark hair and huge eyes. Not exactly a great description, but as soon as I heard her name all I could think of was her eyes! She was a pretty bland player, but made it to the final 4 (she was either 3rd or 4th, I'm pretty sure she was 3rd). She was part of the alliance of women that voted out all the men (except Chris, obviously), then joined in an alliance with Chris, Twila and Scout and they were the final 4.

Gotta say, I did NOT see that coming.

I liked how both the fans and the favorites felt that they had the upper hand going in. With the "favorites" I wonder how much bonding has taken place at reunions, conventions, etc., because, save for developing personal relationships and formation of alliances, I didn't see a lot of tribal bonding. One the other hand, since this is the first time the fans have met, they're forced to bond together as a tribe. I think that's a huge reason why they won immunity.

Speaking of the immunity challenge, I thought it was very good combination of mental and physical tasks.

As for picking for whom I will root, outside of Yau Man, I haven't picked anyone yet. James lost points for hooking up with Parvati (ewwwww).

All in all, not a bad first episode. Let's see what next week brings.

Ok was that set up or what? Did he plan on only going for a short time so told the story to get off or is it true? You just never know with him.

Even though they didn't win the immunity challenge, I thought the favs were pretty impressive. They got their shelter, alliances and fire set up in like in 24 hours. Got to be some sort of record.

Yes, how the favs got their shelter up that quick was very impressive. For fire, fate fortuned them in that Yau wears glasses and that it was sunny at mid-day. As for the alliances, its the first time I recall two 4 person alliances on the same tribe forming THAT quickly. Still, I think that part got to them in the immunity challenge.

As for Fairplay's story, I have to buy it on one level because 9 people voted for him. I also get the feeling that both sides tried to woo Cirie to bust up the other alliance, but she wanted Fairplay out, and so everyone went along with it. Since that would have spoiled the tribal council, the footage was left on the cutting room floor.

You know that's not a bad theory, esp when you consider how popular Cerrie is with viewers and yet there was VERY little air time for her.

I guess anyone avoiding Johnny F can now tune in, hee hee hee.
