| Lisann22 Fri 2/8/2008 9:14p | I think calling even half the group of favorites, favorites is a huge stretch!
Good Lord did you see Amanda and Ozzy rolling in the palms? I guess this season is "Sex on the Beach." |

| Autopia Deb Fri 2/8/2008 9:29p | ^^^No kidding, how can Eliza be a favorite when she wasn't particularly memorable. I'd have rather seen crazy "drift wood/cell phone" dude.
Am I correct that there are no past winners in the favorites camp? |

| SuperDry Fri 2/8/2008 10:54p | The video looked terrible in the HD feed. What it looks like they did was record it with SD cameras, then did a combination of cropping and stretching to get it to 16:9, and then upconverted it to get to HD. I think the normal way to handle SD content (what they've always done in the past) is much better: simply broadcast the SD 4:3 content in HD, with the vertical bars on the sides. The quality is actually better that way IMHO, and each viewer can decide what they want to do with cropping, zooming, and the aspect ratio. What they did this season looks like crap, assuming that my guess is correct and it's not just some local problem. |

| x Pirate_Princess x Sun 2/10/2008 9:52p | I haven't read every one else's posts, but here are some observations I have half way through:
Kathy on Fans: If you're such a fan, did you really think it was going to be a piece of cake?? Seriously, do you think the players are acting when they cry on camera and have mental breakdowns?
Johnny Fairplay: Still hate him. Good for Yau for knocking him into the boat. "Will Lie for Food" no duh (not what I said, but you get the picture)
James: Still hot. 'Nuff said. |

'bout time they realized to use the glasses to make a fire within the first 24 hours. |

he's crying about his little girl. I'm sure, if it were any other player, I would feel for him, but since it's JF, I don't give a crap. And if he uses her the way he used his grandmother.... |

Rooting for Yau, but love looking at James. |

| ecdc Sun 2/10/2008 10:28p | >>As for Fairplay's story, I have to buy it on one level because 9 people voted for him. I also get the feeling that both sides tried to woo Cirie to bust up the other alliance, but she wanted Fairplay out, and so everyone went along with it. Since that would have spoiled the tribal council, the footage was left on the cutting room floor.<<
I wondered if it was something like that, too. Or perhaps the two alliances, as soon as he started peddling his "miss my girlfriend" story, realized just how unstable a player he is. They may have gotten together and said, "Look, Fairplay is playing both sides. Let's get rid of him tonight."
But, he seemed pretty happy to be gone. I guess that makes two of us. |

| sun-n-fun Mon 2/11/2008 11:15a | I would have rather he gotten blindsided. That is what I had been hoping for. The fact that he asked ot go stunk!!!
I think I have lost all respect for James.
I don't even know weho Eliza and Pavarti are and I have watched from the beginning. There are others I couldn't remember but can't list them because I STILL DON'T REMEMBER THEM!!!! |
