I saw it opening weekend and the theater was about half full, and there were very few laughs. I saw it again last weekend and people were LOL. "Worst Pies" "Little Priest" And people were rolling during "By the Sea". And they really seemed to like the Contest scene. I almost stood up and cheered when Mr. T beat Borat with a Tea Kettle. But the biggest laughs came when he would dump the bodies out of the chair and they would crumple like a marionette that had been dropped.

Here she is in Potter, its much the same look, only lopsided.

| kennect Sat 4/5/2008 10:56p | Have seen this film several times since the DVD release and I have to say "I love it"...Not the greatest film of all time but it is pretty close to perfection in film making...I can't wait for the day that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp get their long overdue Academy Award...Both of them are amazing with each new project they do... |

| DAR Sun 4/6/2008 6:34p | I finally saw it the other day. And I must say it is growing on me. The more I think about it the more and more I like it. Not being familiar with stage production I didn't have much to go on. I do know that You Tube has the entire Cariou/Lansbury production on there. My favorite scene is probably the second time Joanna is sung. Just a perfect pix of song, performance, editing, cinematography it all came together beautifully. |

And for the film being bloody, to me it seemed to be in the Kill Bill vein(no pun intended)where it seemed a little unrealistic. |

| christiemarsh88 Tue 4/8/2008 2:13p | I'm with you. I got the two-disc edition, mostly because it had that awesome pic of Sweeney sitting in his devilish chair on the cover. But the bonus features are well worth the extra three dollars. Anyone else watched any of them? |

| kennect Wed 4/9/2008 9:59p | Oh Christie, Love the bonus features even though they aren't that great...I think my favorite is something like the "Razor's Refrain"...Sort of a slide show to music...Loved the one about the blood...Then also the one about the making of it...There is still one or two I haven't seen yet....I still though haven't checked everything out so I should not be complaining...One thing I have figured out though is the idea that the casual veiwer can't pick up on all of the subtle details of this film...There is so much to absorb...Between the lyrics and the visuals there is so much to find in repeat veiwings that you don't get the first time around.... |

| christiemarsh88 Thu 4/10/2008 2:05p | I haven't watched the blood one or the Razor's Refrain yet. My favorite is the press conference they did. I loved Carter's comment about how people were saying she got the part just because she's Burton's girlfriend. She had a great response to that. |
