| brentf Wed 12/26/2007 9:55p | My family is going to WDW this coming Spring for about 7 days, but there's a possibility we may go to Disneyland next Christmas. Any advice on what our best ticket options might be? I've heard you can use some WDW tickets at DL, but I wasn't sure if that was true. If it is true, should we purchase more days and add the no expiration option or what?
Thanks! |

I don't believe you would save any money by adding days and a no-expire option to a WDW passport; you certainly won't save any time or hassle. |

Online you can typically get a 3 day DL Parkhopper pass for $159 so you wouldn't be saving any money. Even if you bought the tickets at the DL gate, the gate price would be $189, so you'd save $3 to go through the hassle of having to swap out the tickets.
I'd by your tickets specific for each park. |

WDW tickets are more expensive ... that's the only reason they allow it. And many CMs may not be familiar with the policy and you'll wind up spending time in line at Guest Relations.
It just makes no sense unless you have let's say two days left on a WDW ticket and you're never going to return there for the rest of your natural-born life. |

When we got back to California I called Disneyland and asked if we could use the leftover day at Disneyland. They said "yes" (I LOVE Disney!!!) We had to use the unused day within 14 days of the first day of use, so we drove up that weekend. The ticket window sent us to the entry gate. They called out a supervisor who took the tickets into the office, confirmed we had a day left and we were within the 14 day window. She exchanged them for 1-Day Park Hoppers on the spot, and we had a great time!! |
