I used to watch the Mouse Factory backin the early 70's. I likes it a lot of the time because it had sucha huge variety of stuff, sort of like the Wonderful World of Color but sklightly updated and only 30 minutes. This is where I first heard this song and it always made me laugh.

Ward Kimball was the master mind behind this syndicated show. He revived "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" for the closing titles. This was the theme song for the original Mickey Mouse Clubs that met in movie theaters in the 1930s. Ward had an abiding interest in 30s style music, and probably had a whale of a time seeing that this piece was done up in this manner.

I had a soundtrack 45 with this piece. It was also included on a recent CD anthology set. It was fun to see the original end titles of the series again.

Thanks for sharing, Daannzzz! While I was quite small when this show originally aired, years and later I could still remember snippets of the song (and this amuses my husband greatly!) I also had an LP with various stuff from the show, but my dad made me give away a bunch of my records. Now that I'm an adult and it would have been considered a collectible, he still hasn't lived that down!

Pffft...Dug probably has the original tapes of the show stored in his closet. He probably wakes up every morning singing the theme to The Wonderful World of Color. :)

I vaguely remember the episode with Jonathan Winters. In the beginning of the episode he held onto Snow White for good luck or something before he pulled the lever. I also remembered the characters dancing around a maypole before an alien shows up. Jonathan, in his old lady costume, plays one of the UFO witnesses.
