>>>i would rather not leave dl , i think white water or some cafeteria type place would be good<<<

Then that would only leave whitewater snacks as I think some are blocked out of the parks that day.

Tinkeroon and I are good with just about anything. I like TJ's and Buca di Beppo but I'm all for someplace a little more affordable if it means we get to keep the group together.

cm, no matter what, we'll do Mexican food at your favorite place later in the week.

I think I'm going to bow out of the Tortilla Joes thing for now, as I really don't think I can eat 30 bucks worth of food, nor do I want to spend that on just lunch. I really dont want to have to order off a set menu. . AND.. I'm all for keeping the group together as well. Seems like it will be a pretty good sized mini meet/relaxed gathering. :)

First of all I would like to say, Lulu did it hurt? When you fell from heaven? I really do appreciate all you have done to try to sort this out. And to all our other lovely LP friends, your warmth and attention is very flattering. Sorry about the delay, I have been flat out with government this week.

Hmmm, this is a difficult one as we were so looking forward to Tortilla Jo's; unless we make it ourselves, Mexican is challenging to come by in the UK (we have a few places to go, but not many). But seeing our LP friends is more important.

We understand people's concerns about the price; though if people want to push ahead, we are more than happy to do it, as when we vacation, lunch is the main meal of the day. However, let's make lemonade with this one.

There are a few options:

1. We all make separate reservations for lunch, and then try to ask the wait staff to seat us together.

2. We could maybe all meet at the Riverbelle Terrace or somewhere similar or the Boudin Bakery.

3. Maybe we do not all have a meal together, but congregate somewhere else, lounge of the GCH, or is there anywhere else in DTD/DLH/PP?

4. If memory serves, I thought WWS was quite small?

Please let's not leave site though. We will not have a car and we have two toddlers (so Lost Bar may be out too?). The thrust of the meal meant we would be able to visit and the kids would hopefully be good so we could have some great conversations. I am a little worried with a counter service, their behaviour is a little different than in a proper restaurant.

Also, if anyone is up for a late night meet at the GCH, Sarah and I could take turns in the bar while the kids are asleep.

I do appreciate what everyone is saying and wish to be as accommodating as possible. Once again I am disappointed by the mouse and their so called great customer service???? Maybe I should let them know my sentiments to see if that greases the wheels?

We look forward to seeing you. If people are interested in hooking up, we will need to plan quite quickly now. We will only have access to LP for 12 more days. Then it's off to California, and our first LP meet!

We cannot wait to see you all. Love and Hugs, the baloos.

Okay i am not going to be there - but if you are looking at Mexican why not go to the one in Disneyland - they have plenty of seating and if someone would rather have something else there is other choices near by...
Same thing over in DCA their is plenty of seating at the Mexican food place over there - and if you are over by the lucky cookie (or whatever it is called restaurant that is never open) you can sit near the water and therefore contain the younger set...
We have also all gotten food from those areas and sat over by the Farmers market and let the kids do the activities over there while we finished chatting...
Another idea would be meeting over in the round-up area - plenty of room for the little ones to stretch their legs!

Just my two cents... $30 is a bit spendy for lunch... unless that includes tequila I'n not sure I could consume enough to make it worthwhile. LOL! Also... if the meal is in the park there is a chance I won't be able to attend. I don't have an AP and my getting in is dependant on how Mark feels. He'd have to sign us in and he's not usually feeling like being at work when he's not working. However if that works best for everyone then please go for it and I'll try to make it if possible!

I don't want to go off-site, or exclude folks who can't get in DL. My second thought was to meet at Hearthstone Lounge, they have a limited menu for people who want to eat, and those on a strict budget could order a soda, or nothing! It's definitely more casual. It's better than the set-menu, set-time, set-price deal. Maybe at TJ's bar they can accommodate this type of thing, too.

Stay tuned, this will be worked out... thanks for your input!

well i'm game for something thats kid friendly and affordable, not that i willl have kids with me this time but i know there are people that will. white water is small but it has a few outside tables if the kids want to run around and burn up energy , they have salads, hot food and just snacks like ice cream and etc, hey we could just have a pig out fest !! everyone could go, no passes needed there, , or theres always the mexican rest. in frontierland !! lulu, your so sweet to take this on, i hope were not being party poopers for all your hard work !! murfsmom

The Baloo's deserve good mexican food at least.LOL The Mexican place in DL is Rancho Del Zocalo, and the food really isn't all that good there. The prices are a bit high as well. Also perhaps not everyone can get into the park on that day so it's just a little easier to try and get something that everyone can go to if they'd like and DTD seems like the prefect place for this infromal gathering of friendsies, and there are also other food places there as well to chose from. :)
