Pollyana for your research, be sure to check out Deb Wills' site www.allearsnet.com it is pretty awesome for WDW planning.

Also, although it is official (and a little biased) the Birnbaum Guide is very good for a newbie to plan (heck I even buy them every couple of years, even if I am not planning on going.

Anymore questions, just ask away.

Although not a moderate resort, I would look into the Wilderness Lodge as an option. It's cheaper than the other deluxes and really is a fun place to stay -- tons of atmosphere and relatively convenient to all of the WDW activities.

Great Wonderful

I too am a Disneyland yearly visitor.I have been to WDW once in 1998. I am going to visit WDW again probably Dec 08, and this thread has so help. Especially the All Ears. I have been studing that for the last couple hours. AND it is overwhelming.....

Pollyana ~ Thanks for starting this one. I see your name lots at DL posts. I think it will take me until Dec to figue this one out. I do not want to waste time wondering around not knowing what to do, where to go once I reach the World. :O))))

I am by no means an expert, but I have been to WDW once a year for the past three years and once in 1998.

Get to know what you like to do on vacation and tailor your trip. We like to try new things, so each trip we do something different, be it taking a Segway Tour at Epcot or the Wilderness Campground, fishing (!), or renting the little fun Mouse Boats.

For dining, I loved Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I never try new foods so I was pleased to find old favorites mixed in with exotic (for me) offering of African foods. Now, we try at least a new place to eat each trip.

We are middle-aged without kids but we also like the character breakfasts. I liked being able to have a character picture without the hassle of waiting in line.

You also might enjoy a Wishes Cruise or an IllumiNations Cruise. We plan to do this the next trip.

No matter what, nothing is a s crazy as turning left into what is supposed to be New Orleans Square and finding a whole new something else.

This is a great thread! It's helped me a lot - also planning for two adults without kids and not going to water parks. Restaurant and must-sees advice is excellent. I had lots to write but got carried away, so I will start a new thread.
