| DAR Wed 2/6/2008 6:16a | Man I wasn't impressed with a lot of them. I really liked the girl who's father died she was terrific. And well Miss Florida Fair :) |

| melekalikimaka Wed 2/6/2008 7:04a | It irritates me that we have week after week of audition because, in reality, there's only a few moments of real show. Did we really need to see a 10 minute clip about Paula's inability to say yes or no to people? It's bad enough they show it during every show but do we need a recap? |

| DAR Wed 2/6/2008 7:27a | I must admit that while I'm tired of the bad singer montage, I LOVL at the gramourus gramourous frossy frossy line. |

| sun-n-fun Thu 2/7/2008 6:04a | Mele, that is why I usually DVR it and start watching an half hour after it starts. I go through the commercials and silly montages that I have no interest in.
I, like Simon, had hoped the Miss Florida Fair would be horrible. Unfortunaly she was pretty good. |

| amazedncal2 Fri 2/8/2008 7:14a | sun-n-fun, that is also how we watch Idol. For whatever reason the montages are a snorefest for me this year and I am thrilled to be able to zap them. Sometimes I drive DH crazy but he can always go back and watch if something catches his eye.
topdisneymom, thank you for the info :)
I am so ready for next week. Bring on the good, the bad and a couple of snarky catfights ;)

| Dabob2 Fri 2/8/2008 7:42a | I've always wondered why they give us 8 nights of initial auditions, with a few good singers (but often just 30 seconds of each) and a lot of bad, but then give us only two nights of "Hollywood week," which winnows the 160 or so actually talented people who made it to Hollywood down to 24.
That's possibly the most interesting part of the process for me, with a lot of drama (of the good and bad kinds), yet they always give it short shrift, IMO. It's interesting to see how people react to being in Hollywood (often for the first time), how they deal with being put into groups with people they do or do not like, how they try to stick out in what is still a crowded field... yet we don't get enough of that, and two nights later we're down to the final 24 all of a sudden.
I'd rather see, at most, 6 nights of the initial auditions, and 2 more nights of Hollywood week. |
