Wouldn't have been great if the beauty queen had said, "please give me another chance or else I have to marry a very rich man who will be old enough to be my dad."

And I have another question what song was Jeffrey Lampkin singing, the one about food? That was made up right?

I was glad to see the "beauty queen" leave. Her singing was fine but the whole early Shirley Temple pouting thing was annoying. I think she might have gone through if she hadn't gotten pushy with Paula.

<<might have gone through if she hadn't gotten pushy with Paula.>>

Which would have been totally ridiculous cause that performance was horrible. I don't think Simon was "thinking with his other brain" like another poster said. To me it seemed that Simon said yes (knowing Randy would say no) just to put the decision squarely in Paula's lap. I think Simon has had it with Paula being mealy-mouthed with low/no talent contestants and this was his way of highlighting how absurd the result would be if she kept doing that.

And I agree with the other poster who said the contestant was basically "commanding" Paula to let her through. That left a very bad taste in my mouth. Totally came across as a brat having a temper tantrum. And people say all sorts of bad things about Paula being a drunk or stupid or being a "has-been" and all other sorts of things but I think she is nice and has a kind heart and I think it's disgusting when contestants try to manipulate her and take advantage of her just because she's nice and doesn't want to crush anyone's dreams.

That would be me.

That would be me too! :)

LOL. Well, if we had an edit button, I would hop right in my previous post and replace "other poster" with Dabob2!

Sorry for not giving credit where credit was due. It was partially due to laziness (not wanting to go back and re-read to find the quote) and partially due to, okay, you got me - it was allll due to laziness. LOL. I'll try to be better.

Telling Paula to let you through should be grounds for being told no. But I wouldn't have hold it against any of the contestants if they told Paula to make a decision.

What was ridiculous is that the beauty queen moaned about not getting a fair chance. She got the same chance as everyone else, so really what he wanted was an unfair chance in her favor.

I was just going to say that, trekkeruss. She had plenty of chances. It really annoys me to see pretty girls play stupid and cute to get what they want, especially when they aren't very good actresses. It's even more annoying to see guys fall for it. LOL
