<<I thought Luke was kind of good>>

His voice is almost perfevt for that song, but I was wanting more "spark."

<<whoever the kid was before David H.>>

That would be Danny. He can sing pretty well, but I don't like the affectations.

1-David A was great. I keep thinking that he is going to blow it on the next note and he just shines even more.

2-David H keeps surprising me. He seems very natural.

3-Chekezie was MUCH better last night. I didn't recognize the song, which might have helped.

I still like Jason Castro. He is enjoyable to watch although the dreadlocks aren't my favorite look on anyone :)

Simon is back to his snarky self and we got tears from Paula :) Idol is back baby!

Does anyone else think that all the parents and family members are looking alike?

The first half of the show was dodgy to say the least. No one stepped it up, though at least Luke got degree of difficulty points for his choice.

Finally, starting with David H. they actually started CONNECTING with their songs. David A., David H., and Chikizie were the best. David C. was okay but he needs a new haircut, and he needs it bad.

Michael J. will probably get by based on charisma, because he did himself no favors with the song choice (even though I love that song - it wasn't right for his voice).

David A. completely blew away the competition!! Amazing voice and stage presence for a 17 year old!

I also liked David Cook and the one who sang "Killer Queen". I can't figure out why the judges didn't like him though; I thought he did a great job!

We also liked "Killer Queen." Didn't Simon say something to him about picking a song that was too well known or something. I didn't agree with that.

Ooh, Simon Cowell is on Regis and Kelly now.

He just said that there are 3 or 4 good singers and the rest are a waste of time. Ouch!

So much for "best top 24 we've ever had" (which was never true, although once again the women are stronger as a group then the men, at least).

For me the oldest guy (Georgia Aussie)and the youngest guy (David A) are clearly the front runners. Everyone else however they fall is a big whatever.

ok, i don't know if this is true, but i heard on the radio, that robbie carrico is wearing a wig (the long hair is fake). this is especially funny, since they keep hounding him about authenticity.
