At first I thought it was just me but then I heard it on one of those gossip shows that Robbie wears a wig. It sure looks like a wig when you check out his part. Could be my tv.

That's what I thought too, mele! I know what contestants I normally impressed with, but honestly I thought they were all boring tonight. Amanda was absolutely sickening.

Carly, Brooke and Ramiele were my top picks this week. None blew us away. While I liked Brooke's overall performance I was surprised that the judges liked it so much, they must hear something we don't.

Asia'h sure chose a big song. I adore her spunk but maybe she is a bit too overconfident? Randy mentioned Celine but DH and I couldn't come up with the original singer. I think we were comatose from watching so many boring performances :)

Eric "Hungry Eyes" Carmen, I think. ;-)

I guess that means next week is the 80's then.

(And yes, I know "All By Myself" is a lot older than "Hungry Eyes". LOL)

Yep. It's Eric Carmen. It's bad that they compared it to the Celine Dion versino when it should have been compared to Eric Carmen's version. Asia'h was still sick, but I think she did pretty well. She's still one of my favorites.

1. Carly (Crazy On You): For me, this was the best of the night. Great choice for her, and she showed why she's there.

2. Syesha (Me and Mr Jones): Liked it better than the judges. There's no good reason a woman couldn't sing this song, and she did all right. Not great, but I don't think she's in danger.

3. Brooke (You're So Vain): I'm with Lisann and amazddncal2. It was fine, but overpraised by the judges.

4. Ramiele (Don't Leave Me This Way): Like Syesha, this was not her best, but was good enough last week that she shouldn't be in danger.

5. Kristy (You're No Good): Great song choice - a real singer's song, and she should have knocked it out of the park. She didn't, which says to me she may not be capable of it.

6. Amanda (Carry On): Painful. Partly because it was just plain bad (pitch problems galore) and partly because I like her and want her to stay. What a terrible choice. Of all the REAL rock from this decade, why choose this bombastic piece of faux-rock that isn't even a good singer's song? I fear she may get knocked out tonight, but I hope she gets enough "residual good feelings" votes and stays around long enough to redeem herself.

7. Alaina (Hopelessly Devoted To You): Snoozefest. Hoping she goes home rather than Amanda!

8. Alexandrea (If You Leave Me Now): Not a great song choice, at all. Still, it had its moments, which says to me with smarter choices she's one to watch.

9. Kady (Magic Man): As good as a mimic as she is she probably SHOULD have tried to mimic Nancy Wilson a bit more; both because her voice wasn't hacking all of it, and because Wilson sold it without looking all diva-ish.

10. Asia'h (All By Myself): She was clearly under the weather - her first "big note" moment and she had to change into head voice. She got it together by the end, but then had to deal with (somewhat unfair) comments that she wasn't Celine. (And BTW, I think the original was by Eric Carmen).

If it were me, I'd send home Alaina and either Kristy or Kady, but I fear for Amanda.

I fear for Amanda, too. I really want her to stay because she's interesting but based on last night's performance, I think she's going to go.

Celine has a big voice. Too big, IMO. It seems like most everything she does, she does with a sledgehammer. As for Asia'h, I'd put her in the top half of last night's performances; probably fourth behind my top three.
