So nice to see you here, Lisann. I've been feeling so guilty posting on Idol threads you did not start...!

I missed posting about the boys yesterday, so, here goes.

Dennis: He set his key too high. He sounds awful in this register. And the bouncing up and down just looks silly.

Jason: I liked it. Good use of the guitar. There was enough of the old version, though he made the song his own.

Luke: He was a bit breathy, but looked comfortable. He seemed to be having some fun with this.

Robbie: Good song, good energy, but didn't seem to be all there. Just OK in the long run.

Danny: A really good start, but failed to sustain it. Although I really, really dislike this faux diva, there's a good voice in there somewhere.

David H: A good vocal. He pushed a bit, but then got comfortable. And a good build to a strong finish.

Jason: Good song choice, and a good solid performance.

Chikezie: Better than last week for sure. He seems a bit full of himself, but this week was good over all.

David C: Very good, but a bit repetitious in the delivery of this song.

David A: Wow. What a scary song choice. But what a beautiful, pure vocal. It was his own, without dishonoring the original.

I really don't know who will go home. Maybe Dennis, Robbie, David C. or Danny (please send Danny home!). I thought only David A. delivered the goods.

The girls, I thought, all sounded a lot alike.

Carly: Good song, good solid performance. And I like her moves...!

Syesha: Needed to be bigger, but basically good. Weak finish, though.

Brooke: Very nice performance of a well known number. A good, safe performance.

Ramiele: In good voice, real excitement. I wanted to hear more.

Kristy: A good song, but rather stolid delivery.

Amanda: Too much put on for me. I like her in the film and interview portions where she is being herself. The song delivery was strained, rushed and breathy. The ending was just painful.

Alaina: Too whiny for me. She also has trouble sustaining notes.

Alexandrea: A bit loose and breathy. She was also mushy with the lyric.

Kady: A very bad start and bad mix made this a pretty dreadful mess. She should stick with the opera.

Asia'h: She sounded flat and tentative throughout. She seemed to be looking for the song. (And that skirt did not flatter her.)

I think we may say goodbye to Alaina, Asia'h, Alexandrea, or Amanda (which I would be sorry to see).

Then again, maybe I'm just knocking them off alphabetically...

He's a cute kid but it bugs me to hear little kids singing adult songs. I know other people think it's adorable. I have issues even with Hannah Montana songs when she's talking about having a way of knowing when something is "right" and how someone makes her want to forget and start all over. Really? At 14/15 years old?

I must be getting old and prudish. LOL

I was surprised when I saw that he was on star search because they talk about him as if he has no experience in show biz, and now I'm wondering if he is putting on an act when he acts all surprised when they say how good he is.

Same. I feel the most letdown over Alexandrea. She picked a bad song and it bit her.
