Yep, that was the one we saw. Cursing is one thing, maybe I'm old, but there are certain words that are typically directed toward women that I can't gloss over, no matter who says them or in what context, even just a young kid trying to be cool.

There was a blurb that said "Idol Stripper" with a head shot of Ramiele. I didn't look at it, so it was David H, not Ramiele? Weird.

Does anyone else think that Chickeze (I am not going to bother to learn how to spell it unless he stays a few more weeks) did a really nice job tonight? I was not familiar with the song and really enjoyed it.

Didn't care as much for David A's song choice tonight - I wish he'd gone for an up tempo.

I like Stripper David. Loathe Danny N. Reminds me too much of the "leave Brittany Alone" dude.

I like David C too, but I want to wash his hair.

I have come to accept that I am hopelessly uncool and out of the loop of current trends and styles. What's more, I don't mind. :)

LOL. DLandJB :) Exactly how I feel.

No one made us cringe tonight with their singing. It would be hard to pick a favorite as David A, David C, David H, Chi, Michael and Jason all did well in their own way.

It's Chickezie. I would rank him just behind my top three. I think his voice is good, but he hasn't pushed though with a breakout performance.

That would leave Michael, just above the bottom two. IMO he is fading fast. He was great Hollywood week, but since then he has failed to deliver. He's coming off more as a frontman for a band than an idol; rather anonymous.

Oops, I guess I was too focused on the "I." It is actually Chikezie.

I am hoping Luke and Danny go home. They did the worst IMO. Chikezie was ok. What was he thinking singing a Whitney Houston song.

No, you're not alone. In fact, I thought he was the best of the bunch last night.

I thought Jason was way overpraised. Yes, it was an audacious song choice, and I think that's what the judges responded to. But he didn't SING it particularly well. Even worse, he didn't connect with the lyric. As a result it paled not only in comparison to the original, but also to Leonard Cohen's own version (and he can't even really sing!), not to mention kd lang's great version from a couple of years ago... when you're making doe eyes at the camera like he was for too much of the song, you are not connecting with what "Hallelujah" is about.

On the other hand, David C. took one of the most insipid pieces of 80's tripe out there and made it tolerable. I still hate his hair and don't like the rock star wannabe posturing, but I have to give him that.

David A. and David H. - neither had their best night, but were easily good enough to advance.

Michael didn't sing so well, but his charisma will carry him for a while - maybe quite a while if he can pick the right material.

I felt sorry for Luke - he has a nice voice, but the song choice (I always hated this song too) did him in.

I give Danny weird left-handed props for the "whatever" to Simon, but he's just not that good a singer. He should go, and Luke will probably go with him.

I didn't get a chance to watch much. I was busy doing other stuff. But I did hear Danny's horrible rendition.
