They aren't kicking off anyone tonight, they will do it thursday (yes, a third night). I have heard that David Cook may not be there tonight or tomorrow (maybe tomorrow night) because his brother with cancer, is really not doing well. Very sad.

The bottom performers imo were Carly,Brooke, and Michael. I am not a fan of Jason and would like to see him go. In all fairness he sang well last night and chose a song that suits him.

^^ YEAH. I thought that was cool, she and her "backup band" were all from tv shows. Greg, a drummer, pretty cool!

I thought her singing was painful...but not as painful as the whole Robin Williams thing. Man.

Honestly, I can't believe they did that with Robin Williams - it was over the line and racist. Trust me, I like a good ethnic joke between friends and usually about my own people but this was a world wide audience. I thought it was extremely distasteful. Especially on a night when they are asking people to save others in the world. BTW - I think Robin Williams is a maniac genius but not this time.

Ugh!!!!!

And unfortunately, that's the only portion of the show I saw, along with Ms. Carey and the big group finale.

I'm out of the whole Miley Cyrus loop. Was anyone else bothered by her attempt at gyrating or whatever that was along with that song? The whole thing looked to me like she was trying to break into a new genre and it looked creepy. Maybe I don't know enough about her and her show (well really nothing) but I thought she was supposed to be a role model for the little girls and tweens.

I thought the Robin Williams thing was really uncomfortable. We've seen him in person and he is way over the top but the audience goes for it. Last night, nope, just out of place.

Last year seemed a little more heartfelt.
Am I wrong? Maybe I was just cranky and tired last night.
