| Lisann22 Tue 5/6/2008 8:58p | Would it be politically incorrect to say I just want to strangle Jason Castro? Is he a dim-wit? He acts like he doesn't have his marbles. He's passive aggressive in his attitude about the judges constructive critism, well other than his soul mate Paula.
Ugh!
I sincerely hope he goes and Syesha makes it. Aye yi yi, what a joke.
Oh by the way, hey everyone!! I haven't been able to watch AI all the way through for weeks so I haven't been commenting. LOL |

| mele Tue 5/6/2008 9:06p | I didn't dig David Cook tonight at all although he was better than Jason. I think the bottom two should be David Cook (who I think should win) and Jason. Syesha did a great job but will probably be in the bottom two again. :-(
It's a good thing David A didn't sing "Hungry Like the Wolf" or Labuda might have figured out a way to jump through the tv and strangle him. Love ya, Ann! ;-) |

AI's ratings are dropping. The producers are commenting that they're not concerned at all: "We're still the biggest thing on TV." They say they're not planning to make any significant changes to the structure of the competition or to the format of the show (or to the cast).
But viewers are tuning out, and that's got to be a scary trend for the producers. I suspect that many viewers are dropping because they've become disenchanted with the results that the current voting system brings.
My guess is that if Jason is not voted off this week, enough viewers will quit the show that the producers will begin to re-evaluate the voting system.

| Inspector 57 Tue 5/6/2008 10:20p | What a beautiful voice David A has, and what amazing control he has for someone so young. But tonight I finally figured out why I'm not more enthusiastic about him. He's too Michael Bolton-esque, too unnecessarily bombastic. An "over-singer."
He became my #3 tonight with his version of "Love Me Tender."

| RoadTrip Tue 5/6/2008 10:46p | I don't really care who wins. David Cook will sell far more CD's than any other Idol contestant whether he comes in 4th or 1st. As far as I'm concerned, he is the first AI contestant with true rock-star potential.

| sun-n-fun Wed 5/7/2008 6:03a | Jason was just ridiculous. Simon was right on when he said it was like a bad first round audition. Even paula had trouble finding any good in it. UGH!!! I really like Sayesha. I can see her following along the lines of Jennifer Hudson and doing Broadway shows. She'd be great there. |

| danyoung Wed 5/7/2008 6:20a | I wouldn't say that Jason is a worse singer than Sanjaya. But his cocky, "I don't care if I'm here or not" attitude really sucks. He would have been gone long ago if not for that stupid vote for the worst site.
I thought David Cook did well, although it almost seemed like he was slightly drugged or something. Just kinda passive, but still a great singer and arranger. David A. put in another fine performance, but I just don't think he has that something that it takes to be a true pop star. And Syesha really belongs on Broadway, and I'll betcha anything that's where she ends up soon after the summer tour.
My vote for bottom 2 this week - Jason and Sayesha, with Jason going home.
My vote for final 2 - David and David, with Cook pulling it off. I actually phone voted for both of them last night, after watching the show on Tivo about an hour after it aired. It was easy getting through to David A.'s vote line, but very hard to get through to Cook. Good sign!
