True Dan. In fact, you could argue that two tracks is looking a little more futuristic e.g. space travel is so common, there is a lot of traffic. I think with a little TLC like DL got, the MK could overtake DL again in the SM coolness factor.

That said, the victorian theme with cool sountrack, Moullier effects and loops will always make the original version of DLP's SM no. 1 in my books.

"Has two tracks thus trivializing the idea of a unique space travel"

I knew this would be challenged and I almost left it out, but I decided that since I really do think that two tracks detract from the overall experience (like Matterhorn) I had to leave the statement as is.

"C'mon, how would having only one track convince people more that they're travelling into space?"

The same reason or way that IJ should have one track. Rides, at least on Disney and Universal property, are supposed to tell a story and the story will engross the audience more readily if the experience speaks to them on an individual basis--- two tracks weaken the story.

This is why, aside from safety naturally, that IJ jeeps, Roger Rabbit cabs or Snow White carts are dispatched with a certain amount of gap---- so we are not distracted and the attraction speaks to US as individual guests. And even in a continuous conveyor style like HM lighting and on board sound, the actual shape of the doom buggy and the way it is programmed/rigged limit seeing other guests. We don't want to see other guests because we want our experience to be unique as if the ride is speaking to us as individuals.

barboy, it's as if you said you don't like IJA because it uses a lot of brown. I just can't see the slightest reason why one loader or 2 would make the teeniest difference. Methinks you have your own personal pet peeve here.

"Methinks you have your own personal pet peeve here."

I might at that..... but two track system doesn't bug or bother me. I'm just saying **optimally** I think one track and one load station tells the better story like in Hong Kong/DL Anaheim, Tokyo and Paris.

"We flew in on United Airlines.... They don't serve food anymore on their flights. Now they have little snack boxes for five bucks."

<----- Channeling TDRFAN

well, that's what you get for flying United.

On Japan Air all of us get unlimited French wine--- red and white. And they serve us endless snacks and beverages plus two very high quality full meals---- all served with a big smile.

:)

"Going into Philharmagic, I expected to be wowed, considering all the praise this thing gets."

Ya, I never understood why so many out there praise it and wish it were available here on the west coast. That attraction is way overrated.

"Tomorrowland has been turned into pure unadulterated garbage"

--you bet! What a junk pile Tl is.

"In fact, the food all over WDW is so much better than what you find in Disneyland"

Really? I can't say that I have noticed either way. Obviously WDW has far more choices but better tasting/quality? Pound for pound, dish for dish I can't say that I prefer one Disney destination over the other.

"They layered a cartoon onto this thing(Living Seas) where it simply does not belong, does not add to the show, does nothing but inappropriately shoehorn a cartoon into something that did not need it."

Damn those cartoons! They're popping up everywhere. I, However, truly loved this attraction unlike many other cartoon based attractions. The queue was splendid, just done beautifully and the "clam mobiles" looked great and moved smoothly. I liked the show scenes too even though they were mostly based on those dreaded video projections.

It's better because of the entrance and exit areas, the loading area, the effects on the ride are better, and the ride is better, although bumpier. It's more of an experience. The inline seating makes it more fun.

The one in Anaheim is a long walk through a hallway, followed by a ride that consists of a bunch of right turns. On board sound did not work the last three times I tried to ride it with it.

"well, that's what you get for flying United."

Free is a great price, you see. And this is now typical of US airlines.

"Obviously WDW has far more choices but better tasting/quality?"

No question about it. Absolutely.

Funny, I find the food at WDW to not be as good as DL. Maybe it's where you choose.

And yep, Phil is totally overrated imho

"The Drive In was not a good dining experience. The food was good, but I quickly got tired of seeing the clips, and you have to sit in these cars, which precludes you from talking to members of your family while eating."

I've been 3 times over the years and I agree with you here.

"Fantasmic at this park is actually a better experience than at Disneyland. There is a stadium, beer, and the show is better, too."

I like both versions equally but for different reasons.

"The walkways(of Disney Studios) are maze like and confusing."

Why? What makes them so confusing compared to any other Disney park.

"1991 apparently is when the park(Disney Studios) choked"

I don't understand what you mean. The park has been a hit with the crowds since opening in '89 ---- not that I'm saying MGM was great just because it has been a smash hit with the general public.

"Disney went and dumped this Chester and Hester carnival thing in the middle of it(Animal Kingdom)".

Whoever was responsible for this should be publically flogged--- say 100 lashes.
This is just stupidity at its zenith. Why take a work of art like Animal Kingdom and adulterate it with excrement.
