HKDL has begun a new FREE service available to passengers transiting through Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).

It's called the "IN-TRANSIT EASY PASS" and costs only HK$198 and includes FREE transportation to the park and back to the airport. That translate into a 30% discount price for regular admission and up to 40$ discount off peak and special day admission prices. Great deal!

This is what a transit passenger would have to do:

1) Exit the Transit Hall and enter Hong Kong through Immigration and Customs. After clearance, go to the "Magic oh HKDL" gift shop to obtain your free bus boarding coupon and in-transit park ticket coupon.

2) Head over to the free shuttle bus parked on the ground level of Sky Plaza, bus bays #17-20, in terminal #2.

NOTE: bus is subject to availability on a first come, first serve.

3) 20 mins later after you arrive at HKDLR, proceed to Guest Relations window to the left of the main entrance, and present your in-transit offer ticket and PASSPORT to purchase your specially priced. You must reserve a spot a spot on the bus for the return trip to the airport and this must be done at this point with Guest Relations.

Then, enjoy the day at the park. When you are ready to leave, just return to the bus area to hop on your bus back to the airport, and make sure you give yourself enough time to be back to the airport in time for your departure flight and be at the gate no later than 30 mins before flight time.

Just a few things to keep in mind...
-This offer is avail to transit passenger who have more than 6 hrs on the ground at HKG.
-The HK$120 Departure tax will be waived if you depart HKG before midnight on the same day you arrive.
-You can store luggage in the lockers at Airport or at HKDL's locker facilities.

So... next time you are transiting thru Hong Kong International Airport.. why be bored?? Head to HKDL and enjoy of a few hours of fun with Mickey!! LOL!!

That's a great idea. Since it's so close I'm really glad they are taking advantage of their situation. I doubt they have tapped into the market too much yet, but it seems like it would be a great place for people to spend the night who have really early flights the next morning, or who are just there overnight. When flying back to the US from Japan, we had a single night in HK, and stayed in the HKDLHH, and loved it. It was a lot cheaper than official airport hotels, and the service was great. We did have to wait a bit for a cab since we had to leave around 6am, but it was still a great experience, and very easy and affordable.

Well, even though I have my problems with this park, it's good to see the WDC getting a bit more smart about how they're treating getting people there.

If nothing else, once attendance starts climbing, they will be able to justify spending more money on additions. My ultimate dream is once they decide to install the mainstays like PoTC, HM and Splash, that these will be uber plussed versions for the 21st century.

I DO plan on getting here within the next few years and when I DO go I want it be a special experience where I can see things I have not seen at any other Disney park.

You mean.. WDC getting 'smarter'?

But Bob dear, I think this offer has your name written all over it. You can schedule a quick flight into Hong Kong, and visit HKDL for a few hours, then continue on to Tokyo.. Or you can do it on the way down... Book Cathay for that.

Well, as I have said elsewhere, my partner and I are planning for TDR in October. IF(and that's a big "IF")we stopped off to see HKDL, it would DEFINITELY be on the way up. I would want him to see the "lesser" resort before he experienced TDR so he would not be disappointed.

It might actually be nice for him to see the JC with an English CM(they DO have those as well as Chinese speaking right?), since he will not be able to understand the JC at TDL. Also we could see the plussed IASW.....one of the new plussed attractions for HKDL, of which I hope there are MANY more to come!

They have three different versions of the JC: English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. There is a separate queue for each.

While technically it may be in English, one time for me it was great, and the next it was bad at best. I don't know how they choose who does which language, but it may not be the best JC experience in the world. You might want to have some of the normal jokes memorized, so you can say them under your breath, in case it gets bad.

I'd say that "bad at best" was my experience as well with the English JC. The jokes all appeared to come right off the official script, with none of the ad-libbing that's developed over time at the US parks. One thing that occurred to me is that they may be accounting for the English JC being used by int'l guests that may speak neither Chinese nor English as a primary language, and English only as a secondary language. The type of humor used was always situational, rather than the play on words that the US JC's are so famous for. The wordplay and double-meanings in jokes would be much more difficult for a non-native speaker of English to understand.

Well... it's not like the Jungle Cruise is THAT funny at the other parks... so big deal.
