Topic: Question from a prospective new member

1	shannon7913 Fri 2/22/2008 6:59p	I'm fairly sure I want to join DVC, but I'm only being offered AKV and SSV for my home resorts. Living in California, I was really hoping to get the Grand Californian. Do you think I should just buy into any home resort, or should I wait for 'til the expansion is done in late 2009?
2	DVC_dad Fri 2/22/2008 9:10p	Personally, and I never thought I would say this, I'd wait, especially if you are going to use the majority of the points as DL stays.
3	RoadTrip Fri 2/22/2008 9:29p	If you would plan to visit Disneyland only during slow times of the year I don't think it would make much difference what your home resort was. If you wanted to visit during the summer or holiday periods I think you would want the early booking window that comes with your home resort. In that case I would wait until you could by at the Grand Californian.
