Thanks, LacyBelle - I did only use those dates as an example. It occurred to me that someone might get confused about F! being on a Monday, but I was too lazy to look beyond April's calendar. :D

The food in the boxes has changed. We went in January and it was quite different than in the past. Now the box includes cheeses and crackers, things like mini cheesecakes and truffles. It's a nice assortment :) I'll see if I can find the picture I took to jog my memory.

Copy of my post from Jan 15th...

>>>We did the riverside seating this past Friday night. SPOILERS ahead for those who want to be surprised...........

The box "desserts" has changed quite a bit (again.) Now it is back to the plastic black bottom with a clear top with the Fantasmic logo. There are 6 "petite" desserts, a cheesecake (about 3-4 nice bites) chocolate cupcake type thing with chocolate filling, I guess gynache or how ever you spell it and my fav a lemon tart and also a macaroon and chocolate covered strawberry. 2 bon bons, one chocolate with choc. filling and one white chocolate with lemon filling, both very good. 4 or 5 (can't remember) wrapped cheeses like baby bels, water crackers and grapes. A fork, knife and napkin along with one of those "edible" spoons. All in all, a nice box of treats and much different from the past. Most people seemed to eat a couple of things and save the rest for later. I don't think they had anything different for the kids. I missed the Mickey Krispy treat and "had" to go and buy myself one the next day :) They gave us bags to carry the boxes with us.

Always a nice way to spend some time :) I always enjoy it.<<<

Thanks for the update, amazed.

I'm glad that they've changed the boxes away from the paperboard of recent years. It didn't make for a good keepsake and really wasn't sturdy enough.

It sounds like they've also upgraded the treats. We may have to indulge on our next visit. ºo º

That's interesting, amazed - I like sweets as much as the next person, but it's nice to have something savory too!

sounds like sooo much fun! i can't wait. i was lucky enough to attend back in the balcony days. i think it must have been fairly new in 1998 or so. i went to the will call box office at the main gate at like 5 am and stood in line for tickets that evening. i think the office opened at maybe 8am.and i was 5th in line! it was definitely worth it back then and i look forward to it in july!

rtj172, I remember those days too. DH trying to get to the window from the DLH in the days before DTD :) He never made it in time so we were thrilled when we were able to finally book by phone. The Balcony was awesome but Riverside is great too in a different way :)

Wow - I'm trying to figure out how magical this is if you have to wait an hour to check in - *after* getting up early to call, then picking up your tickets at Guest Services! I guess it's magical if someone else takes care of all the footwork for you? It sounds to me like they really make it a hassle, for the amount of money you're paying!
