The balcony seating is gone, I know that. The Disney Dream suite has taken over that seating.

I far prefer the snack box to the buffet. On our 2005 trip we got the balcony seating and were in the front row, which was good, but it was too difficult to go back for more food (we only grabbed a small amount because we wanted to sample a couple of things and see what we liked). We thought we'd go back as soon as the show finished, but were surprised to find that it was already all packed away.

With the snack box, we were able to enjoy the desserts the next day as well and we loved the laidback experience of grabbing a can of Coke and watching the fireworks in the falling 'snow' after Fantasmic!. It was really wonderful!

^ I agree with everything you just said. I did the balcony 4 times and have now done riverside 4 times.

Another problem with the buffet was that it was not replenished (in the balcony). So, if you were toward the end of the seating order, it was very picked over and sometimes out of the best items.

i agree with the previous notes about the buffet. i have not had the opportunity to have the box yet, but plan to do so this july. i think i'll even get seating for the 2 year old so we will have the extra box to munch ourselves into a sugar high! nothing better than a mickey rice krispie treat with chocolate dipping! oh,oh, that 2 year old will be almost 3 and will probably have her eyes set on that mickey treat! maybe she won't be so interested in the chocolate dipped strawberries. i'm making myself hungry here!

I am so excited! I just reserved the seating for the 9pm show for our trip in June. I have never done this before & went back and forth on my decision for months but finally made the call and got the reservation this morning. Payed for most of it with my Disney Visa Rewards card.

The reservations line does not open until 8am. We wanted reservations for June 24th so today was the 1st day that I could call.

I called vacation planning about 35 days prior to when we wanted seating just to ask them exactly when we should call. they took our name and info and said they would book them for us. sure enough they called back on the 30 day mark and said we could pick up our tickets when we checked in at the hotel. they were so nice and it was really easy. If you are staying on property I would definately have vacation planning do this for you. not sure if there is a charge or not as they were doing a few things for us.
