Must be talking about the executives!

| figgalicous Sat 5/3/2008 4:11p | The website was still up as late as the middle of April, when I subscribed and purchased some back issues. Hope everything turns out OK for Jack, all his followers, and those who apparently came too late for the party (like myself). |

This is the first I heard about this. I managed to get all but the first three issues, so I bought the CD.
This was my favorite magazine.
Thanks Jack! |

| The Goddess Mara Sun 5/11/2008 7:54p | I'm a magazine editor and publisher, longtime writer, Disney fan, etc., and tried to purchase E-Ticket from Jack.
But someone was already there before me.
I've seen many magazines change hands and then go down the toilet (Cinefantastique, anyone?). Hope that doesn't happen here. E-Ticket is too good.

They are not publishers, but definitley have an interest in Disney history. Back issues may be available. Of course, all this is subject to change.

| The Goddess Mara Sun 5/25/2008 7:48a | That really sucks! Why would Jack sell it to people who won't continue the magazine? What a loss. |

That is sad. I tried to discuss the possibility of us buying the magazine (and continuing to publish it alongside Tales) but Jack refused to return my calls or emails. I guess he already knew who he was going to buy the title. I never saw the financials so have no idea if we would have been interested but you would have thought that he would have preferred at least an auction process. |

| The Goddess Mara Mon 5/26/2008 7:55a | Well, there are at least two of us, then, who would have bought E-Ticket magazine and continued it. You really have to wonder what happened and why he sold it to people who won't continue it--unless Jack didn't want it continued. |

| Mickeyfan1 Mon 5/26/2008 7:18p | I think a lot had to do with Leon's death of course. Jack lost his comrade in arms so to speak and while he gave it a good try, the magic just was not there for him.
I agree with everyone here that it is sad to see this publication cease, but maybe Jack just wanted to see it go and not have to worry about the quality in the hands of another. Not that others could not do a great job, but sometimes it is just hard to give something over to others if you know what I mean.
I will miss seeing Jack at the NFFC Show and Sale. We always had some great talks.
Thanks for a wonderful magazine Jack. |
